One of the poorest hotels that I've stayed in. The bathroom was very weak and the toilet flush did not work. Refrained from taking a shower. Breakfast was also poor. Could not sleep enough due to children shouting until 10 pm. I would not recommend anyone to stay unless this is your last option on your way to the Lake... More

You tend to get what you pay for in Guatemala, but thought "not so much here." I think if the place were cheaper than what it is, it would be fine. I travel to Guatemala frequently and have stayed in the full range of hostels and hotels. We had roaches in our room, and the shower was completely disgusting and... More

Stayed here for just the one night thank goodness! Got in to the room and the towels were dirty they had marks on them and still had hair from previous guests. The beds were also not clean. When we complained at the front desk they would not give me a new towel unless we showed them the other one and... More

This is an adequate hotel for a visit to Panajachel. It is conveniently located on the main street, walking distance to restaurants and all the shopping. Just a few blocks to the water's edge. It was clean but very plainly furnished.

This is a hotel in the most cool street of Pana: calle Santander, where many restaurants are open frequently at night. The hotel rooms are very basic, but they are clean. All has private bathroom. The hotel is clean, cheap and near lake shore. They serve little breakfasts, too.

We spent one night in Kakchiquel and found it perfectly fine but wasn't somewhere I particularly enjoyed for a particular reason. It was an adequate base, located well to explore the town. The wifi was usable and the beds were comfy. The shower was cold and the breakfast menu left a little to be desired.

This hotel is to be avoided. It was filthy, it smelled and its location was noisy. We refused to stay here after only one night. The shower heater was wired on top of the shower and wires were exposed. Electric wire + water? Walls were paper thin and the staff were very unhelpful, unapologetic and generally apathetic. This hotel is... More

We were guided to Hotel Kakchiquel by Juan, a vendor. We loved this hotel so much we stayed twelve weeks!. The interior of the hotel, including the pool, has Mayan beauty. Our room was huge. Our view over the balcony was phenomenal, overlooking villages high on the mountain. We were a five-minute walk from the most beautiful lake in the... More

Room was average size, no window with three beds. Private bathroom with tiny sliver of window. Shower water was hot. Used the Free Wifi but didn't eat at the restaurant. Great location in Panajachel. Porters and Service was good.

We stayed here on a service trip March 2014. To be honest, the rooms were not the cleanest... there were 12 rooms we had all together and I think half of us had cockroaches at one point or another. Another room in our group also had overflowing plumbing. However, the employees were helpful in getting rid of the insects for... More
