We loved this place. Tons of parking for you overland travelers. The owner of the property was helpful and kind. Great value for the money, our room was HUGE!!!!! Safe location too! I left my passport in a drawer and was saved by the staff and safely returned to me. I would highly recommend this hotel.

I've stayed in third world conditions as well as at Ritz Carltons and Four Seasons. I don't expect too much in lower-end establishments other than comfort and cleanliness. The Hotel Paradise Inn could use some sprucing up; the property is not immediately attractive. There is nearly no landscaping, greenery, or flowering plants, which all thrive in this climate. The rooms are okay, in spite of the fake fireplaces in every room (I saw all of the rooms occupied by our party) and Spartan décor. The pillows, mattress, and linens are abominable, although they had really nice towels. My toilet was not working upon arrival, but was fixed. There were a few bugs in my room, which I delivered outdoors. Probably the biggest infraction was a rooster who lived nearby and started his routine around 3.30 a.m. I realize they have to crow, however, you would think the hotel proprietor would pay off the farmer to move him elsewhere, as it is obnoxious and impossible to sleep through. The hotel IS convenient to Panajachel night life and to the water, so I suppose that is worth three stars.

Stayed a few days. Room did not get serviced had to use old wet towels. No laundry. No breakfast. No areas really other then your room. Couple had noisy sex next door with tv full blast till 1am then she left! Lots of truckies staying. Out at end of town which you would have thought would have been nice a quiet. Better to go stay in one of the other towns around the lake IMHO

I paid 50 dollars a night to stay at the Hotel Paradise Inn during the Christmas high season. However, despite totally friendly staff, I was highly diasppointed that there was no running water on both days that I got back and wanted a shower -- a problem that was eventually fixed. And that the Wifi did not work at all during my stay. Further, the hotel is situated directly next to a car park, so that if you do get a room with a lake view, you can also expect a lot of early morning noise with vehicles leaving from 6 am in the morning.

The owner who speaks perfect English was working the front desk. Was very kind and helpful. When I asked for a personal fan she gave me hers from her home. This hotel is the perfect economical jump off point for your tours of the lake. Numerous small boats leave from here to all the small towns around the lake. I would stay here again for the spacious rooms.

we traveled off season and the lovely owner gave us a special price for the night we stayed there. The room was clean, the shower ok, hot water available. Short: We were happy to have a clean centrally located hotel at the lake.

Never again! I still think it sells as a hotel, but it's actually a motel. Mirrors over the bed?? Management is mysterious, they didn't have what they promised us by mail, no hot water in the morning, far away from main street, no internet access. Its pretty expensive for such a crappy place. First thing in the morning we went out looking for another hotel

Location is not bad but the rooms are horrible, dated, poorly decorated and plain scary. At night i could hear rats crawling on the roof. The bed sheets wont stay in place so when i woke up i was practically sleeping on the dirty matress. The hotel doesnt provide towels, not even hand soap!!! Very very bad experience.

We love the Hotel Paradise Inn! Great prices on beautiful rooms. The hotel is very near the shops and restaurants and seems to be on the quieter side of town. There is a rooftop with an incredible view of the lake and volcano. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the staff are friendly and very accommodating. We love staying at the Hotel Paradise Inn and stay here every time we find ourselves in Panajachel.
