I had a crummy 6am flight in which I had to be at the airport for after traveling from Lake Atitlan. The hostel has a free shuttle bus to the airport and the gentleman gave us bananas. I arrived last minute since I didn't want to sleep in the airport and it closes after the last flight until 3am. Friendly,...

The hostel is in a good location, and the staff, for the most part, was friendly...but that all went straight to hell once I was in the presence of Marcos. This guy was one of the most insecure, childish people I've ever encountered, and he happens to be employed by this place which is sincerely unfortunate. It began when he...

This hostel has a decent price for what are the horrible prices in Guatemala City, but it' s not all. It' s very clean, has a free pick-up, drop-off service from/to the airport (which is quite close), and offers a very nice laid back atmosphere of a family living room. At my arrival early in the morning I even got...

This is a great hostal with brilliant staff. Has all the things you need, hot shower (though not great pressure), kitchen and lounge area with tv and lots of dvds. The staff are friendly and very helpful. Location is good and its easy to get round by taxi or bike. Was disappointed by the city bike tour though i think...

I have stayed at this place and returned again a few times. The hostel itself is really the best of an old building and the prices are about the going rate within the city. Guatemala City normally is a transit stop before beginning the tourist trail - however this hostel has the ability to provide something the others don't.... if...

Such nice people! The family that runs this hostel is fantastic. The hostel is large and has many rooms. We got a private room, and it was sizable and quiet. As soon as we got there, one of the hostel owners (a man in his early 30s) asked if we wanted to come with them to a local party that...

We only stayed here as a stop over, arriving late in to Guatemala City and leaving the next morning. Place was clean, breakfast was standard (fruit and toast) but included. Rooms were basic but our private double was accessed through another dorm, which was strange. Not sure if the other doubles are the same?

Price was higher than listed and when we arrived we were told they actually could not provide transportation to the airport as advertised, and declined to offer any discount to compensate. Disingenuous at least, verging on dishonest.

We wanted to check out GC but only had limited time available. Quetzal room was a great base for it - the bike tour was excellent and we got a great insight into some historical events that we otherwise would know nothing about, as well as taking in the more modern side of the city. It is very clean and...

Wonderful family run establishment. Very clean and worth the money. Get to know the family who run this place. They gave a great tour of Guatemala City. Also very quite and the beds were super comfortable

“Rooms upstairs do not get wifi, that's the only bummer, if you have a private room that is likely the case. All the shared rooms have wifi so no worries there.”

“The private rooms aren't that private - you can hear everything from the dorm and vice versa. There's no internet on the lower floor - not sure about the rooms on the same level as reception.”
