You can't ask for a friendlier, more responsive staff than the one you'll find here. The Canopy Suites are really worth it and taking the tram up the hill is a breeze. The dinner menu changes daily and nearly everything is locally sourced on site. Everyone (ourselves included) seemed to having a wonderful time: families, newlyweds, retirees, etc. Certainly worth the trip.

Where to start... this place was stunning. We spend 1/2 our trip on the beach and the other 1/2 here. The resort was incredible and the staff was even more amazing. Sitting by the pool and listening to the sounds of the jungle was my favorite part. At night we relaxed on our back porch and listened to the howler monkeys, sipping local beers was so relaxing. We ventured into Punta Gorda to experience some local culture. The food at Copal Tree was incredible. The custom drinks were amazing too but overpriced for our budget. But still worth it. We canoed down the river for a long time, saw amazing things. So quiet and peaceful. For my fitness lovers, they have an Assault Runner!!! Like how in the world did it get there but I enjoyed working out with the tropical views.

This place is truly amazing, Chan and Desmond are wonderful drivers and tour guides, the front desk staff Nester and Eufenia were so accommodating and helpful at every step of our journey. The restaurant was truly delicious for every meal. We really loved the staff and their commitment to maintaining covid standards while providing excellent service. Cynthia, Yesi, Tim, Mark, Carlos and Melanie knew our orders by the end of our stay and we felt so at home. The bar staff, mainly Duckie and Lance were absolutely amazing. They both made amazing cocktails that pushed the limit with flavor and Rum. Truly the best way to experience the Copali rum! We do enjoyed our tour of the distillery with the rum expert Waluko. He was so knowledgeable and gave us such a unique insight into the rum making process. We also really loved the bean to bar chocolate making process. Allan gave the most insightful tour of the farm and we were so impressed to see how eco friendly the resort is and the source of all that we are during our stay. Maynard did an excellent job explaining the chocolate making process and it was truly the highlight of the trip. We had such a wonderful stay at this beautiful jungle paradise. The staff is truly out of this world. They make this resort what it is and we truly cannot wait to come back and stay with them again soon!…

Our stay at Copal Tree was special as we had the entire Signature Canopy Suites and private pool to ourselves! The hospitality was great and the view of the mountains at sunset and the view of the river at sunrise was absolutely amazing as well!. The private balcony with hammocks overlooking the great views and the tub outside facing the mountains was very romantic as well! We highly recommend for a either a couples or a family getaway!

My girlfriend and I stayed in one of the Canopy suites at the end of February (start of the dry season). We had a truly amazing time full of wonderful new experiences. The view from the top of the hill is breathtaking. We had an awesome time horseback riding with our guide Alvero who was incredibly kind. Later that day, we went on a tour through the on-site distillery hosted by Waluco who was very knowledgeable and super friendly. The drinks served by Tim were one of a kind. The man is very talented and very friendly. We are both vegan, but this was no issue for the chefs. We received 3.5 meals a day and they were all highly satisfying with most ingredients sourced from the on-site farm. We later enjoyed a guided hike around the estate and through the jungle which was incredibly fascinating (my favorite was the aroma of the vanilla vines they grow). Our last excursion was kayaking on the Rio Grande which was remarkable. There is plenty to do here and lots to enjoy all made better by the incredibly friendly and passionate staff.…
