In response to the other reviewer's response: you can easily rent a car and cross to Tikal. It needs to be done with Crystal, who were really great, and you need to give them a couple weeks' notice to get the paperwork done... More

It needs to be done with Crystal, who were really great, and you need to give them a couple weeks' notice to get the paperwork done. If this is the option you choose, just send them an email and ask them what to expect. They do this for travellers all the time. Best of luck!
