In 12 days in Belize I only spent 2 nights in the Manatee Inn and it is my only regret about the hotel. It was perfect. Best value for your money (US$35 per night for one person). No noise at night, really friendly owners Jarka & Slavek and the other room neighbors were super nice too. There is a great...

Great location just outside, but close enough, to the action in Placencia. Tidy, quiet, compact room with fridge and coffee machine that suitably housed our party of three. Hot water showers with lovely hammocks upstairs, our corner room with comfortable beds caught the sea breezes easily and kept us comfortable. The only negative is the open air bathroom - the...

Simple. Clean. Lovely wood. Just far enough out of town to be quiet, but easily close enough to walk to everywhere. And they were kindly accomodating of our changing schedule; thanks for the good stay!

The location of this Hostel is great, just out of town to avoid the noise but very close to the beach and close enough to bars and restaurants. Our room was spacious with lots of natural light and a good en suite, even if no wall to the ceiling makes for slight lack of privacy, but we have been away...

Very cheap accommodation and you get so much more than you pay for. The rooms are great- spacious, clean, comfy beds, good shower and surprisingly also a FRIDGE which makes a lot of difference on those hot days. The owner is very friendly and helpful. Knows a lot about the area so can point you wherever you need to go...

We are so tired of staying at hotels that could be at any beach any where. Manatee Inn has its own unique character and local feel. We usually stay at higher end hotels loaded with amenities but we also feel we usually leave without a good feeling of what it is really like to be a part of the communities....

I stayed here on two different occasions during my four months in Belize. Service: During both stays, the owner Jarka made sure to accommodate our every need! For example, after leaving my beach bag in a nearby town the previous day, I was in desperate need of a few backup supplies until I could retrieve it. In his office, Jarka...

We loved the Manatee Inn. This place is great value and the owners were very nice and helpful. It is about a 5-10 minute walk from the boat landing, where we arrived from Raggamuffin Tours. About 300 feet from the beach and about half the price of the places that were right on the beach. Make sure you book early...

Manatee inn is well situated - close to the centre and a 1 min walk from the beach. It's a simple room set up but very good value. Only thing lacking was a full length mirror (pure vanity)and more comfortable pillows but something that can easily be addressed. The owner & his wife are very kind and go out of...

A great spot, so close to the beach. The room was clean, quiet, and comfortable. The owners Manatee were available if you needed any assistance. It an added bonus to have a hammock right on the deck, so relaxing. A quiet area, but a short walk to beach, bars, and restaurants.
