My fiance and I stayed here after our cave tubing excursion. We really enjoyed our stay, the staff is friendly and the location was neat, the second floor has a balcony with fresh fruit, microwave, some stools and a table which offers a great view. There is a nightclub next door but it wasnt that bad in my opinion and...

After making it through three not great nights at the Trek Stop (a just-out-of-town "ecolodge,") we were ready for a bathroom. Rosa's was not only incredibly inexpensive, it was clean, comfortable, in the heart of San Ignacio, AND provides guests with complimentary water. Water turned out to be one of the biggest expenses for us in Belize so it was...

I knew Rosa's wouldn't be anything fancy when I booked a room with AC there but I was pretty surprised with what I got. Our room looked pretty sketchy with the lighting barely coming on. The bathroom was kinda gross with a filthy toilet, hole with no drain cover in the shower and a showerhead that sprayed every direction but...

Rosa's hotel is a good place to stay for a night, maybe 2. It's located in San Ignacio, but RIGHT next to a major nightclub (Blue Angels). So be prepared to hear A LOT of bass, especially on a Friday or Saturday. The rooms are tiny, but do have their own bathroom (at least ours did). We were able to...

Two of us arrived at Rosa's New Years eve, and were greeted with a warm welcome at the airport by a reserved ride from Rosa. A few hours later we had bank issues resulting in an invalid card, and Rosa so kindly helped us out without any hesitation. She has a beautiful heart, and a wonderful staff to follow. We...

Rosa's was one of the coolest places we stayed during our Central American trip. I am used to staying in hostels and this place had a hostel type of environment. The 3rd floor balcony that looks out over the town was essentially a hangout spot to meet and hang out with other travellers, many of whom became quick friends during...

San Ignacio isn't much of a tourist destination in itself, since most travellers come for the Mayan ruins/cave tours in the jungle. Rosa's is a great place to stay as it is cheap, in a great location and has a super friendly, helpful staff. Coming back from humid tours to an air conditioned room with hot showers is great. The...

We stayed 3 nights at Rosa's and were very happy overall. Rosa helped us a great deal with allowing us to send equipment in advance to the hostel and then her son recommended a very good mechanic to fit some spare parts to our motorcycles. As well we could park our bikes securely behind a gate and see them :-)...

I stayed two nights at Rosa's. I was impressed overall, but left to find a cheaper option in town. My first night was on the side of the hotel closest to the nightclub Blue Angels. If music disrupts your sleep, don't stay here. The music is so loud that it can thud the room. I can sleep through it though,...

This place is good if you are on budget or are budget-conscious. They have the basic necessities. The service is good. But if you can't bare the bare essentials, then I recommend you find a more expensive place. But the price...what you get is what you paid for. They are located right next to a night club. The noise does...

“I forget what room number we had, but it was on the 3rd floor. 2 nd floor was the guest desk,/area where you could find a community fridge for keeping your left over food cold, or cold drinks and ice. They also had a locked fridge with all kinds of cold drink, candy bars etc that you could buy foe a small price. The nice thing about this area, they had a wrought iron gate that was locked at 10-11 pm, and someone was in the office 24 hours a day. The 1st floor had a restaurant, which btw, served very good food at a very cheap price. If you stay , check them out, at least once (not a fancy place either). The floor my room was on as I said 3rd floor, getting up the last flight of steps with baggage was tough, the steps are higher than a normal stair, not talking how many steps, "but each step" had to be a foot high, hard on the leg mussels, lol! The woman in charge did help us girls get our luggage up, thank goodness, and got us to our room. We had an inside room, down a long hallway, rooms on both sides, no a/c, 1 window, 2 floor fans, a private bath, with very little room at the small sink, the shower was normal size, but had very little water flow, and yes, hot water too! We had a queen bed, and a single bed, with a TV, which we only watched in the morning, news!I can say our room was the 2nd room down the hall on the right, there was a small hallway by our room which was to the laundry room, we used this as a shortcut to the balcony sitting area. This location was nice for the private hallway, but you could hear the street noise and the washing machines and dryers going when they were doing laundry. The front of the building is a main street, which is one way, up hill. If you were sitting out on the balcony, having breakfast, yes they severed a help yourself breakfast including fresh fruit, toast, jam, peanut butter, eggs ( cook them yourself on a small propane stove top) coffee juice and tea. You mingle with the help and other guest, free wifi is available, and laundry services can be had. The only drawback to Rosa's, is the street, and the bigger trucks trying to make it up the hill, the loudness is almost non stop till late at night, and starts as soon as the sun is up. I would never stay in the rooms up front, the one we passed to our room, had 3 windows, nice, but no ac, so if you decided to take a nap in the afternoon, you'd need to plug your ears, hopefully it will help cut down the noise. Your best bet for a room is 3rd floor, in the back of the building, some rooms have ac, some don't, we chose no ac, didn't think we needed it, but at night, we left our room door open to get some cooler air in the room so our fans had something to circulate. I know that sounds scarey, but we felt comfortable doing this as we were 1 out of the 2 rooms being rented, and we had met the other guest, and knew the downstairs door was locked. I wouldn't recommend this , but only mentioning on how safe we felt at Rosa's. The manager and her help were wonderful, if you needed anything they were quick to help, and fun to chat with, as they made you feel warm and welcome. I'd stay there again if and when I get back there, The up side to the place is your so close to everything, and taking picture's of the whole village can be done from the 3rd floor balcony/veranda. your close to the 2 cab locations, the colectiva cabs for locals, the bullet tree falls cabs that take you up towards the parrots nest lodge, you just have to ask which cab they are, and which route they take.colectiva cabs are the cheapest$1usd, but it's a shared cab, so you aren't always the only passenger. Try the bus service too, we did, and it was awesome, traveling with the locals, music and chatting amongst the passengers makes you feel like you've been riding the bus all your life. All and All, If you choose Rosa's you won't feel disappointed, for the money, your getting a great deal, and remember, this isn't the Hilton!!”
