I just stayed at the Hi-Et for 2 nights unexpectedly. I was traveling thru San Ignacio and Hurricane Earl was eyeing Belize. Comfortable, clean, friendly and cheap. It's a great location...right around the corner from the best breakfast spot in San Ignacio, Pop's...and the exterior of the building is one of the most charming in town. Belize colonial. If you...

We stayed at the Hi-et for a few days. It was very economical. Within walking distance of town. The rooms are a nice size. Bathroom was in the room. Good shower. Get a room away from the street and you will be fine.

My friend and I found this place after the room we booked at another hostel had been given away. The owners are so nice and their dogs are adorable. The room was clean with its own bathroom and they provided sheets and towels and offered fresh ones every two days. They even helped us get a lizard out of our...

The hostel I was planning on staying at did not have hot water so a local guy walking down the street told me about the Hi-et so I decided to give it a look. I was very happy that I stayed, the owners were friendly and very helpful. The two sons helped me with all my questions. The room was...

We were happy to pay a cheap price and have our own bed and bathroom. The hosts were courteous and gave great suggestions for places to eat. 1 other positive is that you'll be centrally located in San Ignacio. If you're looking for a good night's rest I might deter some people away as the bed felt like you were...

Really nice family owned place, with the cutest two dogs. One of the sons, Winston, provided great advice on where to go in the area. The rooms are very spacious and breezy, I normally need air con but not at this place. Showers were also good. Very good place, especially for the price and location, can get better value in...

The Hi-et was a great option and we lucked out with there always being a room available when we passed through on two occasions. San Ignacio is pretty small so location is not too much of a problem but it is located in the center of town. A definite plus was that each time we walked through the lobby we...

We stopped in San Ignacio mainly as a couple nights in between Caye Caulker and Flores and found this lovely place by chance. $30 bz for a double room that has a fan and small balcony. The room and shared bathroom were both nice and clean and the owners were friendly. We did break a bed just by sitting on...

We only stayed one night but were happy with the place given the price (in Belize!!). Room could do with a makeover but quiet and clean with nice balcony to enjoy a Belikin. Friendly owners and just step outside to get a well priced collective to the border. Would stay again.
