This review is more than a year late, and rumor is that its now closed? :( I didn't stay at the hotel itself, but I had nice dinner. According to our tour guide, every Sunday 90% of the households have the traditional Sunday Belizian dinner of Stewed Chicken, Slaw, and Red Bean and Rice. It wasn't anything extravagant or fancy,... Wish it was still open. The rooms left something to be desired but the grounds and dining room/ bar were unreal. I would go back in a heart beat if they reopened. Service was the best I have ever had anywhere.

This "review" is more than a year late, but while browsing the site, I decided to post. I don't know if its reflected in the guidebooks yet, but the hotel at the Jaguar Paw location is closed and no longer exists. No sign, nothing. This created quite a bit of confusion for us. The guidebooks (at least last year) gushed... More

We just took a student group to JP for a day, and had the chance to eat at their restaurant. They gave us a good price on the food, and the rice and beans with chicken was quite good. The problem was the smell that was in the restaurant and the main reception area. It smelled like urine, everywhere. I... More

We were going to stay at Jaguar Paw for two days and then go to Ambergris Caye. We loved Jaguar Paw so much that we never left. It was myself, my best friend and her 13 year old son. The people were so amazing, the food was great and the animals on the property were the highlight of the trip.... More

I want to start by saying this place has some potential to be an amazing place but it needs to have some time and money invested first. The Jaguar Paw is located at the end of a dirt road right in the heart of some beautiful tropical flora. My wife and I had a rental vehicle for our stay in... More

I have visited Jaguar Paw for over 15 years. It just gets better. It is a quick flight from Houston and in an hour you feel like you are in the Amazon, but with air conditioned comfort. I travel all over the world, and I know how hard it is to run a top notch lodge in remote areas. Each room... More

My husband and I originally had intended on staying in another jungle resort, but when we arrived at our original destination didn't feel welcomed, so we just left and headed back to the sign we had passed advertising Jaguar Paw. Locating it down the dirt road off the main road was difficult, we later learned someone keeps tearing down their... More

We spent two nights at this resort prior to heading to Ambergris Caye. We went upon arrival to Belize because we wanted to do the cave tubing prior to our beachtime relaxing. We very much enjoyed our stay here. Our first night was basically spent checking in, exploring some of the grounds, eating supper and visiting with our friends--a group... More
