Some people use Belize City only as a hub to launch out to the cayes. However, I am incredibly glad I took the time to explore the city. The Seaside guest house was charming and unpretentious. The Staff made you feel like one of the family. They were incredibly helpful and offer a rare and wonderful chance to experience Belizean...

Only stay here if you are trying to save every single penny in your pocket, and even then it is over priced. Doublecheck the price before you commit to the room. They randomly changed our price because there was 2 of us despite booking it thru hostelworld. The bed sucked. The mattress was one inch thick with a bed spring...

We stayed here for one night on our way out of Belize. The hostel itself was the oldest dirtiest and most unkept place I ever stayed in. The other guests staying there all seemed to be under drugs or alcohol, not the best atmosphere. However the lady working at the hostel is amazing. She really makes the place okay by...

Despite past reviews, I had absolutely no problems staying here as a solo female traveller. In fact, having the wonderful manager A to walk you around town made me feel it was even safer to venture out. Apparently there have been a lot of changes recently which means previous issues are no longer a problem. I had a really great...

I stayed for the night that I arrived in Belize. The manager 'A' was really cool and helpful a really intelligent lady with a great sense of humour. She cooked me some food as soon as I got in and I got to meet the eclectic guests staying at the hostel. The wifi was good and the staff really helpful...

If you have to stay in Belize City, which isn't very nice, this is a great location. Centrally located and close to all the things you need, like the ferry to the cayes or delicious street food. This is a safe location with an awesome host and a few eclectic guest. If you're looking for privacy go to a hotel,...

My girlfriend and I stayed at this hostel our last night in Belize City. The owner (Mitch) gave us an icky feeling right off the bat, but we thought he was just a really spiritual guy "oddball" so we gave him the benefit of the doubt. The entire time we were there he was highly intoxicated, made very inappropriate comments,...

Stay somewhere else! Please. I didn't like it here, the manager was not really interested in our questions, there were strange people there, people smoking pot in the common area, and the private room was totally not worth it, very expensive, 44 us dollar for one room, with own bathroom, but so small, and not clean. Also, i couldnt sleep...

This place was great. As in the other reviews the owner may have been drinking and the place seemed a little run down, but that did not make it a negative experience. He saw fishing rods on our bags and was excited to take us out fishing that night just after we got in. We were toured around a bit,...
