Off the Wall Dive Center was truly a unique vacation full of rich experiences. Each snorkel and dive experience were magnificent, such capable and experience dive master and boat captain the likes we may not come across again.

I love this place! It is in the most beautiful location with incredible sea life, both for snorkeling and diving. Kendra and Jim have done a wonderful job of creating an atmosphere of rustic luxury on this little island. The rooms are beautifully appointed with...More

Jim and Kendra are the most gracious hosts at this sublime resort on this beautiful atoll. As a family of divers and snorkelers, who have been all over the world, we could not have found a better place to go! The reef and coral outcroppings...More
After reading through so many great reviews of Off the Wall I though I might be in for disappointment after setting my expectations so high; I could not have been more wrong. Everything from the diving, accommodations, food, staff, equipment, environmental consideration, and vibe was...More

There is some decent snorkeling right off the dock. Mostly juvenile fish and a big barracuda that likes to hang out. To get to the areas that are really good for snorkeling it's a 5-10 minute boat ride, if that. Inside the lagoon area the water is calm. To get to the island from the mainland it's about a 1.5 hour boat ride. When I went seas were calm, but it's not always like that. Tony is a great boat captain and tries to do his best to navigate the waters.

Agree with Clay T, you can snorkel both sides and see lots of fish and creatures. We snorkeled out on the west side and saw large lobsters, rays, and lots of typical reef fish, including a juvenile French Angel that was just losing its stripes and transitioning to the beautiful grey and yellow of an adult. On the east side of the island, when the breeze is calm, you can snorkel all the way out to the wall if you wanted to, and see amazing coral and fish life.
