This place is a gem. It is not a five star hotel resort, and the price shows it. You can order the meal or cook yourself. Cooking yourself is like cooking during camping, and it is not suited for everyone, but if you can handle camp cooking, you can buy their fresh catch fish everyday. I did, and the fish...

Don't let these people earn anymore money in toerism. They simply don't diserve it. Like the review from a week ago said, they overbook huts even when they know it. Ones you are there you can complain but there is no way to get back. Your just stuck in paradise. The last review are e en mild. These people have...

One of the decisions you make when you travel is whether you want novelty or tradition. Many of us return to a place because we come to love not only the place, in this case an island in the middle of an incredibly beautiful reserve, but we inevitably come to expect a relationship with the management as well. This was...

This resort is family owned and operated. They have a tremendous knowledge of the reef and all things Belize. The resort probably only handles 30 +- guests at any one time. The accommodations range from palapa's over the water to cabin's along the shoreline, a dormitory to campsites. As you can imagine, you can stay there from inexpensive to really...

After 15 years of visiting Glovers Reef, we spent our entire week this year at Glovers Atoll Resort being abused, lied to and overcharged by the Marsha Jo and Becky Lamont. Our reservation which was confirmed three weeks in advance was changed from an over the water cabin to a beach cabin. This is a dramatic downgrade as the beach...

We are a retired couple. We had read the reviews and kind of knew what Glovers would be like. So, no surprises. I kind of expected that I would REALLY, REALLY enjoy the place, and I did...okay, I was a bit concerned about the hike to the bathroom at night, but even that was a non-issue. The bungalows were very...

We absolutely loved our stay on Glovers Reef Atoll. The huts over the water are wonderful. We thoroughly enjoyed preparing some of our own food, but recommend you buy supplies in Belmopan if you can, as it is more expensive in Hopkins and some stuff is out of date. There is practically nothing at Sittee River which is very remote...

We stayed at Glover's Atoll Resort with our 9 year old daughter for a week over this past Chirstmas and we had a wonderful time. There were 15 kids on the island and they all ran around finding hermit crabs, creating games and snorkeling together. There was plenty of time to do NOTHING and that was just the way we...

We are a family of 4 (2 boys 5 & 9) and we recently visited Glover's Atoll Resort. We stayed one week but wished we'd stayed 2. We read through all the reviews before going to the island so we had an idea of what to expect and were pleasantly surprised. We can't believe people don't love it (but we're...

At least when we were there the owner was very moody and unfriendly; the absolute ruler over the small island. The "resort" is indeed VERY basic, so be prepared. For its super small size (you can walk around the atoll in a matter of minutes) there are too many people for it to be really romantic, Robinson-like, or whatever you...
