My boyfriend and I stumbled upon these cabins after walking south from the San Pedro Express water taxi. Wanting to save some money, we opted to go for it. The good: the owner of the place seemed friendly and laid back. The cabins were out of the 'hustle and bustle' of the main strip of Caye Caulker, so it was...

I'm reading a lot of negative reviews of Ignacio's, and they're all kinda bumming me out - but none seem surprising, given what the place really was, and how the other visitors did or did not receive the accommodations. The lack of "hot" water did admittedly freak me out a bit. That said: I was there in "off" season, when...

We decided to stay at Ignacio's based on a few of the good reviews here and price. The person who left the review of "one step above camping" wasn't lying. I thought "well, i can take it a bit rougher than most, I'm sure it's not that bad"... but it is. i will never stay here again and wouldn't recommend...

I thought Ignacio's Cabins was very good compared to the price; the room was fine, the toilet was clean and it had a good view over the ocean (but then again, I suppose the majority of hostels in Caye Caulker has that). The staff was friendly, and from our room we had the pleasure to see rays swimming aorund in...

I stayed here for a couple of nights and spent no time in the cabanas as they are in very poor condition. Also my beloved leatherman multitool vanished from my room. If you value your property you might want to re think this accomodation. I asked about my missing leatherman tool but got no satisfaction from the owner!!! I should...

I heard about Ignacios from a wonderful person I met while on vacation...thank you The cabins have a lot of history behind them and it shows, but like anything that has been around a while its seen better days. I was a little nervous when I first entered the cabin...especially when I met my neighbor whom I named Jim Morrison....

O.K., if you are considering Ignacio's, you already know that you are going to be roughing it. This is the next step up from camping outside in a tent. All of the cabins are elevated, and they are about as basic as you can get, forget about having hot water because there isn't any. Ignacio's is right on the ocean,...

My girlfriend and I stayed at ignacios in a standard cabin for three nights, and didn't mind it. Pros: raised cabin on the water, a great breeze, nice quiet (except the odd plane) location, private bath, private deck and hammock. Cons: stinky toilet, lazy staff, ants all over the room and bed, and a couple cockroaches to boot. Our toilet...

We stayed in the deluxe cabin at Ignacio's, it's lovely and really big with a double bed, pull out couch, fridge, mosquito net, coffee maker, private bathroom and a deck with a hammock overlooking the ocean. The standard cabins are smaller and more basic, but cheaper. You are located at the southern end of town so there isn't much foot...

I'm so glad to have stayed at Ignacio's. Sure some of the cabins need a lick of paint and a bit of maintenance but they have everything I was looking for and needed for a comfortable stay. I stayed in one of the front cabins and the view from my hammock was simply awesome. The shower had plenty of pressure...

“Perhaps rooms closer to the office are nicer... wouldn't know for sure. Rooms at the other end are not so nice at night because of a neighbouring security light completely ruins the views at night.”
