Now I know why their current rates are discounted so much. I might have missed something when I was booking it online but the pool was still under construction so no pool-and also construction noise-even a little on the weekend though when I checked in on a Friday the manager who had no accent at all (aka-used to living in the US) said there would be no construction noise over the weekend "as far as she knew"-which was not true. There was noise-just not saws and hammers. Also when I was checking in, I asked, as I always do, does the wifi really actually work since I didn't know C. Caulker and need to be able to research restaurants and activities. The front desk person said yes it was good. Not true. Could not even connect to a website. My girlfriend and I had already unpacked. They did move us to another, slightly larger room AFTER this they actually had the gall to suggest I just use the open air restaurant area without any AC in the high heat. This room was below a second floor room so we had to listen to someone walk around at night in that unit and the wifi was OK-only good enough to browse but not stream anything. After the move, the TV worked but not the volume-they never solved that issue during our 3 day stay-and I just gave up after that. Oh and the mini fridge didn't work-they finally fixed that on our second morning there. Further, the hotel abuts upon a local cemetery next to the beach and since it is not maintained the piles of sargassum seaweed's stench drifts all over their grounds-not pleasant at all-perhaps their staff could maintain it daily instead since they have skin in the game here and it would take a staffer probably about 30 mins. a day to remove the sargassum from the front of the cemetery at the sea like they do in front of their hotel. Further, on our second morning, I asked about why they hadn't cleaned our room after we went out for the day after our first morning. They said they don't do it unless we asked-of course they never told me in advance I needed to do this. Priceless. Otherwise the rooms were clean though spartan though with unmatching fixtures (the wall light sconces above the beds, for example, were nice and modern in the first room we had to abandon due to the wifi but the ones in the second were old and ugly). Finally, the location is bad. It is south of the water taxi pier. The best part of the Caye is north of that-this was my first time on Caye Caulker so lesson learned. In short, I would recommend looking for a hotel in that area and definitely NOT stay at this place.

Facility was fine. Nice little cabin with private bath. Warm water in shower too! Close to everything. Housekeeping staff excellent and very accomadating. (Nice staff except for one young girl who needs some training!!) On-site restaurant and bar has such great staff! (Mama and Jewel went all-out to take care of every guest!) Do have some negatives tho. Construction noise while they are building a pool is very loud all day... even down by the dock. Also, I paid almost $100 for a snorkel trip but got sick the night before and let them know. The staff knew this... but next morning they still refused to give me even a partial refund. It's things like that that people remember!

The cabana had two beds and a bathroom. It was a little dated. The rail and stairs were broken and they had nailed plywood on top of the rotted wood on the porch for you to walk on to get to the door. very quiet and very close to the beach. We did have multiple problems with the toilet - they had to come fix it every day and it still wasn’t fixed completely when we left. Either it wouldn’t flush at all, or the water would always run, or worse, the water would run onto the floor in the bathroom. The staff was super nice. There’s a corn hole game and a cabana/gazebo in the courtyard making at the perfect place to relax and have a little fun. The gym was two treadmills a small weight set an a balancing ball in a very small room– that’s it They were building a pool right outside our door and Construction went on all day long but we never heard it and it was not a bother

We stayed here for 6 nights and are very happy! It is a great deal and a great location, at the south end of the main drag. The staff were really kind and helpful and gave us great ideas of what to do and see. We will absolutely stay here on our next visit.

My friends and I all had a great visit in our 3 rooms. The staff goes above and beyond, and we were very comfortable. Rooms 10 and 14 are the best by the way - they face the ocean. They set up a fabulous snorkel trip for us also, and when it didn’t fill up, they arranged for us to get picked up from another company right at the dock out front. They also let us keep one room open so we could freshen up afterwards with showers and clean clothes before hopping on the ferry, which they gave us a ride to for free. Excellent experience all around, and would absolutely recommend this place and visit again.

A very pretty place, looks like going over some renovations. No blanket on the bed, some like it for comfort, not warmth. Very nice staff. Had some issues with the TV, only minor. We see potential, keep improving, would suggest having Hobie Cats for rental. They are relatively low maintenance and fun to use.

Our room had everything we needed, and staff was very friendly. We were able to walk everywhere we needed to go, although it did not appear that we could swim in the water closest to the hotel. There is a dock you can go out onto, though.

The best therapy session is the beach! Tropical Paradise was quiet and relaxing, the staff were very helpful and amazing. Checkout the sunset from the split, Gorgeous!!!! We went on tour to see Manatees and we even saw dolphins on our way back. Ask for cabin 10 it's the cutest little room on the beach.

Friendly, helpful staff and a great location right by the ocean. Clean and comfortable room with A/C or multiple windows to let in the breeze. Big, clean bathroom and nice porch. In room fridge and large TV were nice perks. Would love a little bedside lamp but overall we were very pleased especially for the cost!
