My favorite place to stay in Caye Caulker! Kari and team are great hosts and really make you feel at home. It’s quiet, the units have all the amenities i needed. I’ve stayed in the front two upper units beachfront. Love waking up and enjoying the sunrise. You also have access to bikes, kayaks and snorkeling gear.

Colindas Cabanas were a serene, cheery little slice of paradise in a quiet cove with shady palms. It actually looks like the pictures. The buildings were being freshly painted right before we arrived. The view from our balcony was perfection! We enjoyed a lazy afternoon in the hammocks on the private beach, and easily walked or rode the complimentary bikes to anywhere we wanted. They were in the process of building a little café on property, which will be nice to have. The staff were friendly but also left us to our privacy. We were pleasantly surprised to have a driver waiting for us at the airport, to take us to the water taxi-- thought we'd have to navigate that piece ourselves. It was a $30 cab ride. You'll certainly enjoy a taste of - s l o w - island living in this simple, tidy, and comfortable cabana. Be prepared that it's a very tiny living space. You have a small tile foyer which also contains your kitchen; a sliding door to a bathroom, and a sliding door to a very small bedroom. Most time spent here not sleeping or showering, will be outside on the patio. That's where you have a table and 2 chairs, and a hammock. It's a perfect space for 1 person solo, or 2 people who don't annoy each other much. Best value on Caye Caulker.

Absolutely loved our stay at Colinda Cabanas! Kari is the most hospitable and friendly host, really made us feel so welcome and settled us in straight away. We stayed in the upstairs beach unit2 - best view and so relaxing. Away from any noise. Would love to return soon! Thank you Kari!!

WOWOW, we loved our stay at Colinda Cabanas. Kari and her crew are friendly, welcoming, and full of excellent recommendations. The Cabanas are a short bike ride from the main hubub of the main strip (good thing because it is quieter). The cabanas are comfortable, clean, well equipped with all kitchen amenities so you can make snacks or meals with ease - the highlight was the freshly ground coffee each morning 💕 (Kari provides beans and grinders) Other pluses - free to use bikes, snorkel gear and fins, kayaks, beach towels … We loved our stay and can only highly recommend. When we get the chance to come back, we will for sure stay again.

What a beautiful place to stay in paradise! Juan was so incredibly helpful, he made check in so easy and our stay was truly made great with his help! He was happy to help with directions, recommendations, and even travel plans afterwards. The cabanas were stunning, and the entire area was picturesque and clean. There was a private dock and lots of complimentary amenities such as bikes and snorkel gear. Highly recommend staying here!!

My wife and I were blown away by the friendly, informative, and service focused staff of Colinda Cabanas. The cabanas themselves are extremely well kept, they have Belize hardwood lining the inside to give it that special feel, and they offer amenities that other rentals do not (bikes, kayaks, snorkel gear, etc.). The view is of the windward side and located halfway down South Caye Caulker, most rooms have a partial or full view and for all of them it is one step out your door and you see the long view to the reef in between flowing palm trees. Take a few more steps, and Colinda Cabanas has done more than most rental areas by adding a pleasant and sandy extension area onto the water (held by a strong barrier wall). You can sit in quality chairs, layout for the sun, or stroll down the long pier to your own pop-out seating area on the water. At the pier-end there is a nice place to dip into the water. The location is calm with few people passing by, and they are all friendly. If desiring more action, ride the bike a few short minutes down a gorgeous palm lined path next to the water until you arrive at any number of island attractions. I will say, if choosing to come to Caye Caulker, answer first the question, do you want a really expensive all-inclusive totally manufactured island resort with fast paced action, food flown in from somewhere else, fake sand, and a big brand name? If yes, don't come here. Caye Caulker is a rural island with no paved roads and locals that genuinely welcome you. It has incredibly fresh local food cooked by passionate residents, everyone bikes except for a few golf carts, all places to stay are "mom and pop" type rentals that are slightly and authentically weathered, and you have a feeling of being safe all the time. With your fresh breakfast you can see the barrier reef and for your sunset you enjoy the non-wind side reflecting on the calm waters while overlooking a marina and eating fresh lobster pulled direct from the ocean. A key point: this island is charmingly rustic with "2nd world" infrastructure and challenging logistics so if you are expecting some perfectly manicured resort, you will not be happy anywhere on the island. For the real Belize experience, come to Caye Caulker and stay at Colinda Cabanas. Kari, the owner/operator, and her staff (Juan as a lead) are both highly professional and personable. They know everyone on the island, and they will provide helpful tips of where to go and how to enjoy the day. Thank you, Colinda Cabanas for an unforgettable vacation!

Colinda cabanas was a lovely stay! We checked into a unit that came with aircon. The unit is right by the beach and has direct access to a bike path. Did I mention that the rooms come with free bikes? We were able to bike all over the island which was a huge help. The location is also off the main area and fairly quiet which is a great after a long day. Juan, the manager, is wonderful and was incredibly helpful from helping us with booking an all day snorkel to arranging taxis for us. Would highly recommend!

From the minute we arrived at Colinda’s Cabanas we knew we were going to love it! The staff are really helpful and friendly, the bikes was the best as we got to see so much of the island and get around really easily! We loved it so much there we booked an extra 2 nights which was no problem at all! We even left something behind and Juan is organising to post it to us! We already want to go back, great trip!

We had an amazing experience staying in cabaña #4, AKA the Hobbit house, for 3 nights. The cabañas are really nice, clean and cosy with a front porch where you can relax. The Cabañas have free access to a private pier, bicycles and kayaks. The internet was good and there was a shelf of “free” stuff to borrow such as sunscreen, aftersun and bug spray if in need. The host Juan was really nice and helped us book tours as well as a shuttle to Mexico after our stay.
