The room was very clean and the staff were amazing. From the ride to the hotel from the Belize Express water taxi to the ride to the airport a week later, Gabriel was always there for us! My partner and I are in our 60's and she got heat stroke a couple of times. Gabriel and Sara (front desk) went above and beyond to take care of her and get the medical attention she needed so our trip wasn't cut short. At night the friendly security guard keeps a watchful eye on everything. There are a couple of 2 seat kayaks and a pair of bikes available to use during the day. They have a beach area with nice seating across from the property and a Pier with seating at the end and easy entry to the water to swim. The Split is just a couple of blocks away and there are numerous restaurants, dive shops, gift shops, convenience stores and bars within easy walking distance. We could not have been happier with the property, staff and location. We will definitely return again!

We just spent a week at Jan's hotel. Perfect location on the island. Hotel staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Gabriel was a wealth of knowledge and very helpful. The hotel staff makes all arrangements for transfers to and from the airport. The hotel itself was beyond our expectations. Definitely will definitely return again.

One of the best locations on the island. Staff is very friendly and helpful as most Belizeans are. No restaurant or pool but lots of restaurants around. It is basically a place to recover and sleep while you are enjoying island, beach, fishing, snorkeling or diving.

We really enjoyed our stay at Jan's Hotel. The room was very nice, comfortable and clean. It was perfectly situated on the island and walkable to everything needed. We did end up renting bikes for a day just to explore more of the island.

Stayed at Jans for my brief visit to Caye Caulker . The Hotel is conveniently located on the main road easy walking distance from the water taxi and the split. My room was on second floor it was basic but clean and they provided bottled water. I stayed 3 nights and I would stay again . As a solo traveler I was happy there was a security guard on site at night.

Cute and clean. Responded quickly when I emailed from BZE about a pick up from the ferry. No problem! Gabriel was there with golf cart for our bags and us. Place is central to the split and ferry. As I said, clean and really all we needed . Little balcony , little fridge and AC . They do have a beach setup. Which is nice. Here is a tiny suggestion ( having grown up in a tourist town , destin Fl) the little beach could be raked. There was quite a bit of debris and garbage which of course happens with beach tide! But a rake in the morning would make it that much more perfect. Heck if there was a rake I would have done it . It’s just the little extra that make it perfect 👍🏽. Love the place and vibe Ps make sure you got to Errolyns Fry Jacks around the corner !

Let me start by saying that my wife and I have been wanting to sail our Hobie Cat 16 over for a stay on Caye Caulker from our home on San Pedro for over a year and contacted many places on the island to find out if they could accommodate us. Jan's was the only hotel that worked to make an amazing trip happen for us where our experience ranked as one of, it not the best ever! From the the first email inquiry, Sheena and the staff went out of their way to help us make the trip a great one! For example. due to weather and other unforeseen events we had to cancel more than a few times and each time, the response was just so pleasant, supportive and highly professional. So, when we finally sailed over, we just couldn't wait! When we pulled up on the beautiful beach right in front of the hotel, the owner, Neil was there waiting and knew exactly who we were which made us feel like family before we even checked in. Just such a cool guy! Although we unfortunately never had a chance to meet Sheena, Sarah, at reception was nothing short of amazing, beginning and ending every sentence with a smile that reinforced what we already knew about the great hospitality of the Belizean people! The room was spotless, super clean and worth every penny and more! Amazing views from everywhere and I would be remiss if I didn't mention that by the time we left, even the all night security guard (sorry I forgot his name) made our stay one to remember. I had a blast chatting with him about the water, sailing and was just so appreciative that he kept such a close watch on my boat that was on the beach all night. Bottom line, I can't say enough about the positive experience and give Jan's my highest recommendation in every area! I can't wait to come back!!

Housekeeping did an amazing job. They mopped every day and kept things clean. They brought us two bottles of water each day and there was a place near the office where we could refill water bottles. All of the staff was kind and helpful. The AC was great, especially in the bedroom area! The water pressure was great (you could turn it up or down). In our Suite, there was a mini fridge and a stovetop with two burners. There were plates, cups, silverware, and pans. We loved the balcony. Gabe picked us up from the water taxi and let us know all the great places to eat. He also helped us find the dock when we kayaked past the sunlight and were trying to make it back in the dark. He was on the dock waving a flashlight at us and carried the kayak back. The location is so convenient, but also reasonably quiet. There were some ants, but as we said, housekeeping did a great job of keeping things clean. This place made for a wonderful honeymoon, we were delighted with it.

Clean rooms. Centrally located on Caye Caulker. Beautiful view. Beds were comfortable and clean and staff was friendly. Daily maid service which included fresh towels, beverages, and necessities. My only dislike was that the window coverings were not heavy enough to block out the light from the patio and lack of outlets. Other than that I would definitely stay again.
