Clean affordable rooms right in the middle of down town. They had a great functioning air conditioning that helped during the night. The place was freshly renovated so everything was functional. Not a fancy place, strict minimum but you get what you pay for. The lady at the front desk was great, and every morning there was a guy raking the beach and keeping the place clean. My only complaint would be the loud music that plays late into the night right next door at the bar. Its loud.
This hotel is okay. Rooms are decent and location is convenient. The Travelocity information indicates there is self service laundry, but there isn’t. There is also no room service. No complimentary coffee in the restaurant and the bartender made it clear to us the restaurant is separate from the hotel.
We had the best time here the staff are Freindly and go out there way to make you feel at home. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants to be able to walk to everything. I could sit on my bed and watch the beach excellent location.
Based on the pictures, this hotel should be a place to relax and rejuvenate. However, my reality was very different because what the images don't show is the constant noise from the bar area. Club-type music emits from speakers from around 11:00 am until they are forced to close due to the Covid curfew. I hear the noise in my room (making it impossible to sleep until they close and difficult to relax during the day), and any time that I am on the beach. You can not get away from the noise. If you are here to party, then you might enjoy the club-type of feel they are creating. However, if you are here to rest, relax, and rejuvenate then I suggest that you find another hotel. In fairness to the hotel, I do want to add that when I approached the bar manager about the noise he was very friendly and assured me that they would be shutting it down in time for curfew, which they did. The volume was also lower during the day for the next two days. Today it was louder again, but not nearly as loud as the first day. I think this problem is just a difference in what I need from a hotel and the atmosphere that this hotel is trying to create. The hotel itself is clean and I've appreciated that they clean the room daily and give you a large jug of water in the refrigerator. However, there is quite a bit of delayed maintenance on the property. Light fixtures are falling off the walls, a railing on the second floor is loose, etc. Also, the room that I am staying in does not have the colorful artwork on the walls or other decorative touches that I see in the pictures. My room is very basic and dated. There is nothing that makes me want to spend time in the room because between the tacky decor and constant noise, it is not a very comfortable space to be in.…
My mom stayed at the Holiday Hotel, 50 years ago. We had a particularly rough year, so I wanted to do something to celebrate her birthday. What better way to celebrate than re-live the vacation I grew up hearing about. I now know why mom talked about it so much, because our stay with Holiday Hotel was incredible. The whotel is perfectly located in the heart of San Pedro and extremely close to the airport. It’s right on the beach with breathtaking views. Our room was very clean, hot water was plentiful, and we were treated like family from the second we arrived. We already miss Filipe and Ray! Another plus was that the Scuba School and Family Dive Center is right at the hotel, so this made my love of diving easy without taking too much time away from mom! You won’t regret staying here. We cannot wait to return!…
Stayed in San Pedro for 5 days to get our scuba certification at the Scuba School and Family Dive Center, which is about a 20 second walk from the hotel (it's right there!). The hotel itself is also surrounded by fantastic restaurants (check out the French Touch for a fancy couple's meal, Estel's for breakfast/brunch, or go to the town square for great shrimp/lobster tacos) a few coffee shops and importantly, a golf cart rental place (J & H golf cart rental provides them for $35 US for a half day). The rooms were kept clean (housecleaning was prompt and efficient), the AC and hot water works perfectly, and the staff was responsive when we needed them (which was hardly ever). Only complaint was that the bar/restaurant is super loud and will play party music until 10 (or midnight on weekends) which is inescapable from the rooms, so we had to sleep with earplugs (but were always so exhausted from the day that we passed out anyway).…
Conveniently located and walking distance to downtown and the airport, I chose this hotel because it was close to the dive shop I decided to use. Staff is very accommodating and friendly. Celi's Deli across the street is great for breakfast and lunch. Room was dated, but kept clean. Good deal for the price, ocean view was awesome. My only issue was the hotel restaurant had a DJ some nights, which with the little soundproofing in the room, made it feel like the speaker was in the room with you. It was fine when he stopped around 10, but some weekday nights it went to midnight and I had to be up early for diving.
The hotel is perfectly located, walking distance to everything. It has a beautiful beach and an excellent dive shop and beach spa right next door. The rooms are clean and spacious, but modest. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. The in-house restaurant does not serve breakfast and does not draw people for lunch and dinner, but you can get drinks anytime. There are many good restaurants nearby, so no worries there. The place could do with a bit of a facelift.
My wife and I stayed at the Holiday Hotel, San Pedro, 30 years ago and we decided it was time to go back. Things have really changed on Ambergris Caye since that first visit, including a larger Holiday Hotel, but our appreciation for the hotel - still great. This hotel is on the beach, a 3 minute walk from the airport, and very near to everything you need - dining, drinks, water adventures, strolls on the beach - aaah. Our room was fine - a queen main bed and 2 twin beds, which allowed us to unpack and stay unpacked. The patio was great - beautiful sunrises over the Caribbean, lots off people watching, viewing all of the activity on the water, and Belikin beer and Ceviche every evening. The restaurant and bar were quite handy and the staff were very accommodating. They helped us arrange our water adventures and responded to our every request.…
Friendly service and good food. Happy hour specials and a full bar. Next door to Ruby's hotel. If you purchase food from the bakery across the street, they allow you to eat on their deck! Sit back, sip a Bellikin beer and enjoy a San Pedro day.
