When I had to change our trip to Belize from Dec 2021 to March 2022 due to Covid, Grand Baymen was one of the few places that had space available at my price point. I booked a 2 bedroom condo in late December, and was looking forward to all the amenities, including the pool, restaurant and bar. Two weeks before our arrival, I was notified that the pool would not be available. Then a week later, was told our 2 bedroom condo was under repair, and we were put into adjacent 1 bedroom condos. When we arrived, there was no water pressure due to something being done by the Belize water department. This problem continued past the posted date, and then we lost hot water. The one night we went to the pool bar to have dinner, it was not available because the cook was preparing meals for the workers dealing with the broken pool and a new building. When I asked before arrival if our new condo was near construction and was assured it was not, but no, it was right outside our windows and they started early and ended late. Grand Baymen made an adjustment to our rate, but it was not enough for me to ever consider going back there. The one highlight is the fitness center and instructor - though the equipment is pretty old school, there was enough basic stuff to make it work. Staff were polite, but it could not make up for all of the disruptions. When one staff person asked what could be done to make it up to us, I suggested they give us a one day pass to visit when we go back to San Pedro in Dec 2022, and the response was "it will be an exclusive resort then, so you won't be able to come here." That sealed it for me and my family. And oh yes - it is at the end of the San Pedro airstrip, so you must enjoy the sound of planes taking off and landing from 6 am til 9 pm.…

We stayed at the Grand Baymen for two months. The condo grounds are well maintained, The staff friendly and helpful, our requests were accommodated in a professional manner. There is security on the property. It has one of the largest pools in San Pedro, as well as a well equipped gym. The Grand Baymen is conveniently located to stores and is a short distance from the beach. It is close to the airport, but the planes generally don't fly at night.

We had a wonderful experience for my birthday weekend at Grand Baymen Gardens Resort, every staff we encountered was very helpful and inviting. Had an awesome stay at this Hotel. Our group of 9 was absolutely astounded by the excellent customer service we received. George our concierge kept in touch from the moment we booked until the moment we checked in and even offered to send a taxi to our boat. The rooms were spotless and had everything we needed such as huge 2 door refrigerator, electric stove, dish washer and the suites had washer and dryer. The bed, I could lay in them all day. Pool was awesome and the guy at the bar forgot to get his name was right on que. Exceptional service even for us local Belizeans. We are planning to return very soon.

My boyfriend and I booked our stay for our anniversary and upon check in we were told that they would try to have us checked in earlier than normal check in time, we went to the pool side bar for some drinks and 30 minutes after check in we were able to drop our bags at our room they even decorated the bed with some nice flowers which was really sweet of the staff to arrange for us. Parking is available on the property free of cost we had a golf cart for the weekend and had no issues with parking on property. I would recommend staying with grand Baymen.

We traveled with my wife’s parents and reserved two rooms next to each other. When we arrived, we were told we were in different buildings and warned they was very low water pressure for one day. However, we had zero water the first night and low pressure the entire stay. The pool wasn’t kept up and the room had rust on the refrigerator. There was no ice available for the room and the bed was very uncomfortable. Also, the hotel is literally next to the runway so the airplanes taking off at 7:00 AM serve as a great alarm clock. Finally, we were told there would be breakfast each morning poolside, but there was no such thing. There is nothing “grand” about the Baymen.

4th trip here. My Wife and I stayed again at the “Grand Bayman Gardens" for 2 Weeks. Nice Large outdoor pool, with cute poolside bar. Full workout Gym. Tennis courts. Clean rooms with AC and full kitchens. Easy walking distance to a gorgeous beach, restaurants, bars, stores and local fruit stand nearby. Very Friendly / accommodating Staff. It’s a Laid back feel in San Pedro Belize. It's like Lahaina was 50 years ago before it became the tourist Trap of today. Always felt safe. $5. US Gets you a cab about anywhere. We walked to town, and taxi back often. USA money is common currency Best diving/ snorkeling in the world! See pictures..🌞🦈

Very clean room, but no decorations. Can hear everything from neighboring rooms. Great staff, good location and the planes aren't that bad and only fly during the day. Nice pool and grounds are well kept.

Very accommodating, SUPER CLEAN, close to town with a beautiful walk along the beach with the breeze! The staff Ms. Jennifer and Mr. Anton were prompt and professional. Housekeeping is as needed, just request it and they are there to spot clean and bring you clean towels. Nice kitchen with dishes and pans to cook, coffee maker, microwave, AND refrigerator. Very quiet location and the planes were not a bother for us. It was fascinating to watch them, and the POOL was beautiful!!! Has a nice area 2 and 3 ft for family friendly, another pool 4-5 feet and then 6 feet with a nice walkover bridge to swim under. Best place to stay in San Pedro!

I have stayed at Grand Baymen on 2 different occassions! What can i say the rooms where clean and comfortable! They have a beautiful pool and 24/7 security which made us feel really safe. The service was great especially from Anton who was our reservation agent, he took the extra mile to stay an extra hour after his shift so that he can check us in because we took the last ferry and still continously check up on us! My experience was phenomenal! We definitely be back to stay with them!
