We recently stayed at the Bella Vista resort and I must say, it was one of the most delightful experiences we have had traveling-what a gem. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm hospitality by the staff. They went above and beyond to make sure our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. The resort itself was charming and quaint, surrounded by lush greenery and the crystal-clear waters of the Caribbean. Our room was clean, cozy, and well-appointed, providing a perfect retreat from the bustling island life outside. Every day, the staff made sure we had a delicious breakfast and helped us plan activities that suited our interests. We also appreciated their recommendations for local attractions. Overall, we would highly recommend this resort to anyone looking for a serene and memorable vacation experience. The entire staff truly made the difference, and we cannot thank them enough for their kindness and attention to detail.…
This was one of the best vacations we've ever taken. The room we stayed in (Sting Ray) was 5 ft. from the pool with a beautiful ocean view. The room itself was laid out nicely. 3 separate rooms, a "living room" with an ocean view, a bedroom and a separate bathroom with a shower and double sinks. It was SO clean and nice. We were treated with a free breakfast of three different choices each day. I especially liked the Belizean breakfast with fry jacks. We also ate dinner at the restaurant several days. The paella and grouper with shrimp in a cream sauce were especially wonderful. In spite of this resort being so beautiful, what really made it special was the people. They all made us feel as if we were part of their family. Each one went out of their way to make sure we were happy. Thank you Linda for making our mornings great with those awesome breakfasts. Thanks to Manny for being our server most meals. Thank you Gian, Zamir, Pablo, Enrique and ALL the other employees who made our stay so special in so many ways. We were also fortunate to meet Mike and Sandy, the owners who live in South Dakota when they're not at the resort. Nice people. We're already planning our next vacation at Bella Vista. Thank you all again and we can hardly wait until we return to this beautiful paradise.…
We had a perfect stay at Bella Vista to celebrate my parent's 50th wedding anniversary. We were a group of 12 ranging in age from four to 76 and all ages had the most wonderful time. The accommodations were just right and gave us space to comfortably spread out with lots of common areas to hang out and watch the World Cup (soccer), play cards and enjoy each other's company. The restaurant on site has the best food on the island with the most friendly, kind and accommodating staff. The staff went out of their way to make our anniversary and birthday celebrations extra special. Resident dog, Dakota, kept the kids entertained with hours of coconut chasing. The location was just right - close enough to town when things were needed, but away from the hustle and bustle. The views from the resort and access to the water were excellent with complimentary kayaks and paddle boards to go out to the reef for snorkeling directly in front of the resort. We went out on tours fishing, snorkeling, swimming and visiting remote beaches for BBQ lunch several days organized by Zamir and all had such a special and memorable time. We highly recommend Bella Vista - it is an incredibly special place. You won't be disappointed!…
Secluded, boutique resort with fantastic food, right along the water. And "free breakfast" isn't a sad continental; it's a full menu of options. Definitely try their fried jacks with homemade pineapple jam! It's located, a little outside of the main part of town, which was perfect for us. The staff are all incredibly friendly and helpful. Would recommend renting a golf cart at least one days to take around town!
Stayed 4 nights here with 2 other parties in different rooms. Small resort with friendly, helpful staff. Room was a suite with a pool and sea view. On-site restaurant was very good. Try their sister restaurant Pur as well—they will shuttle you there for free. Try their burrito. Free water taxi transfers as well. You can walk along the water from the resort. They have bikes, kayaks and paddle boards you can borrow for free. They have a spa service that does massages onsite for $75/hour which were good. $65 for a 4 seat golf cart rental. We had issue’s renting a 6 seater through them and it ended up being more expensive and 90 minutes late. We drove to Secret Beach which has a Mexico on spring break vibe. Also drove into San Pedro and had dinner at Elvi’s which was very good. You can also book tours with them and we did a snorkel tour which was great. It ended up costing $450 for 5 of us even though the price list at the bar said $255 for 4 people plus $30 per extra person. They will run a tab for you at the bar/restaurant, but there was some confusion with payment at the end that got sorted out. Overall an enjoyable stay.…
Where do I even start? Absolutely great service from the minute we booked. Staff helped arrange special requests ahead of time while we were still in Texas! Everyone was wonderful and helped make a birthday trip special! We stayed at the stingray suite, and it was clean and had a beautiful view! The Aji restaurant on site was also delicious! I can't thank the staff enough for their hospitality and warmth!! We will definitely be going back to Bella Vista! And thank you to Manny and Linda! Destiny and Max
Very friendly and so lovely. We stayed in the Barracuda House and loved hanging out on the porch. The bed was so comfortable, we felt like we were sleeping in a treehouse, surrounded by birds. The food at Aji was delish! Aner and Kevin took us out on a full day adventure, so fun. Vianey, Susie, Manny, Pedro, Enrique, Zamir, and Linda were so personable and kind. All of the staff were so friendly and the grounds are beautiful. We really enjoyed our stay at Bella Vista.
We stayed at Bella vista resort over thanksgiving and had a wonderful time. It is a small resort and restaurant with hotel rooms and cottages and is on the water. Most rooms have kitchenette living room and bedroom and have everything needed. The staff are great and can arrange any sightseeing activities you want. They also have kayaks and paddle boards to use. They arranged snorkeling and fishing trips for us Breakfast is included, has a wide range of options and delicious. They also serve dinner and went Luigi their way to serve us a traditional thanksgiving dinner. Their normal dinner menu is varied and delicious. We rented golf carts from them as well. They have a wonderful dog who kept us all amused and the kids loved playing fetch with her. The staff was so accommodating and friendly that we felt like family. We will definitely stay again when in Belize!!…
I loved my stay here. This place was more bed and breakfast than large resort which I appreciated. The staff couldn’t do more for you with excellent suggestions. The on site restaurant Aji Restaurant was 5*. Linda and Pedro and Manny and Susie and V were terrific and so much fun. I would recommend this place to one and all.
We stayed at Bella Vista for 1 week at end of Nov 2022 and had a fabulous time. The resort is very well maintained and beautiful and the staff were all super friendly and helpful. We stayed in the Reef Shark room, which has the best ocean view in the resort. We are an active couple and did almost every excursion offered - snorkeling Hol Chan and Shark + Ray alley, toured Mayan ruins + zip lining through the jungle + tubing down a jungle river through enormous caves, scuba diving, and fishing. All the activities were spectacular with very friendly and knowledgeable guides. On our fishing trip we caught 5 lobsters with a spear and the hotel restaurant cooked them for us for dinner! The rest of the food at the Aji restaurant is also terrific and reasonably priced. Compared to Mexico and many other places in the Caribbean, Belize is relatively affordable and in good shape, and they have the largest (and probably healthiest) coral reef in the Western Hemisphere - definitely an essential destination if you are a snorkeler or diver.…
