Room layout was very awkward. You walk there bathroom to get to kitchenette. Good bed. Good AC. Good and drinks were good, but slightly over priced in my opinion, for the island. They didn’t provide snorkels and masks to guests. HELLO the most beautiful reef in the world is just a paddle away. Lastly, if you didn’t rent a golf cart from their place, you ridiculously had to park across the street. Pool was nice but small for the crowd. There’s better places for the money.
The grounds are beautiful -- our room, beach, pool, etc. The staff is helpful and courteous. Boat Captains Eroy Flowers and his partner (sorry, I am blanking on his name) delivered exceptional service.
This was a trip to relax, and it met those expectations! The transfers we took were the charter plane from the airport, then got in the van, then had the great pleasure of jumping on the resort boat with Eroy and Steven who made it exciting all the way to the resort. I don't think I would have done the boat all the way to the resort because it's a long ride and you don't get a chance to experience as much. We stayed in room 241 which has two bedroom and two bathrooms. It was so comfortable, quiet, and clean. The resort itself stayed clean and the grounds men were always working and kept a smile! Super friendly! I appreciate that there were some activities that were included for free at the resort such as paddle boarding, kayaking, and the sailboat. We could also fish on the dock and whatever you catch can be cooked at the restaurant. That's a nice touch. I originally thought it was a resort just for adults, but there were kids with their family. It was still peaceful! We had the best activities guide Jaffett The Profit is what he's called and my friend was so scared to kayak that he went out there with her just so she can get the experience. That was very nice! We then decided to take the sailboat out and he was so patient. We also got coconuts every morning fresh off the tree by Kenrick (I think that's how you spell his name) and he was so accommodating! He made sure he cut down the best coconuts, sat down with us and just talked about the island. It made us feel welcomed and comfortable. I don't want to finish by not recognizing the waitress at the resort restaurant! Wendy was GREAT! She remembered our names and what we liked just by paying attention to what we had previously. I like when that happens because you don't feel like yet another guest, but a special guest. If you are looking for a resort that is super quiet, peaceful, with wonderful staff this is the place to go! Not to mention its in a great location to Secret Beach and to go in town. It's right in the middle and make sure you get a golf cart because you're going to need it every day to get around.…
All my reviews use the same format, so it isn't just a general review, but breaks out each area and then a total score. Any questions, please let me know. This was a family trip of 11 to Ambergris Caye and San Pedro. ARRIVAL: We arrived in San Pedro via Tropic Air. Luggage delivery was quick and we were soon in our resort supplied van to head to the dock for our water taxi. You CAN arrange just taking the van to the resort to or from the airport but I recommend doing the water taxi to the resort because you are greeted on the dock with the resort’s signature rum cocktail. A nice treat after a long day of travel. Travel time via boat is 10 minutes and by van is 15. The van ride to the boat launch is about 5 minutes. CHECK-IN: We had reserved three seafront houses. Check-in was super quick and friendly as all bags were delivered to their proper bedrooms. The front desk and concierge were always helpful and friendly even though I didn't know there was a concierge office until the last day, but no big deal. The front desk team always shined! PROPERTY: Located 4 miles north of the bridge, this is place is about 15 minutes via cart from “downtown” San PedroI love the resort size. Not big at all and you can get from the house to anywhere you want in one or two minutes. Everything was taken care of including landscape and maintenance was done well with nothing noticeably broken. The resort does have some units that are owned by snow bird families and we met a few of them. There is a large private dock where boats arrive and depart for various privately planned excursions like fishing and diving. You can also fish from the dock but there is a sign that says no fishing from 5:30pm to 5:30am. I talked to security after I fished on the first night with great success. They did not have a problem with me doing that and thanked me for asking. They do have fishing poles and lures for you to use as well as bikes and kayaks for free. The pool is amazing and where people hung out the most. There is a beach but with the seagrass issue and brackish water in the sea close to shore it was not ideal. You WILL need to rent a golf cart if you plan to venture into town which I highly recommend doing. There is Wi-Fi throughout the resort. There are multiple access points so if you don’t have a plan that includes international data you will need to connect to all of them which is not a big deal. ACCOMODATIONS: My family had 106, a three bedroom seafront house. Each house is appointed well with a full kitchen suite, and great AC! There is a local store where you can pre-order and have groceries delivered which we did and it was a nice thing so you didn’t have to worry about snacks etc. Prices ARE expensive due to the fact that everything is brought in from the mainland. The house is split level with a master and another bedroom upstairs and another downstairs. You can have the downstairs as a king or two twins. Bathrooms are nice and big and the closets are huge and there is vast drawer space in the furniture in the rooms. STAFF/SERVICE: This is where the impression was made. Kudos to Flor, Jahphet, Bernie and the rest of the team. EVERYONE and I mean everyone was so friendly and accommodating. Our room service was a tad inattentive with adding paper towel rolls and coffee/cream. Not sure why but that is the ONLY down on a staff service issue. You become friends with them all and I am working with one to help with a mission project for the kids in San Pedro. The people of San Pedro and awesome and welcoming to tourists. Probably some of the best in the world so a BIG thank you to everyone at the resort. You all are awesome. If you had ANYTHING you needed they were quick to get it to you. FOOD:/BAR: There is room service from the one restaurant “O”. They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner as well as snacks. There are some great food options and I highly recommend the lobster dishes and the sushi night was great. If you fish, they will cook your catch. The last night we brought in 11 large snapper and had them whole fried or fileted and they brought over family style sides which was great. The bar drinks are very good. I recommend the Hattie ‘61. There are two bars. One pool and one inside of “O”. There is staff that will serve you drinks poolside. The pool bar was only open two days as the resort was quiet (fine by me). SUMMARY: I can’t say how much we enjoyed this place. The staff is amazing and they did everything to make sure your experience was top notch. I highly recommend this resort to anyone that is willing to pay a little more. We will be back here to experience Isla Bonita and the great team. I’ve been here before but this time I was solo. I needn’t had worried about that. Everyone from Staff to guests were so friendly. The restaurant has lovely food at reasonable prices. I do recommend their Sushi on Friday nights also their specialty cocktails, especially the Paul!! Clean spacious rooms with a beautiful clean pool and beach area. I thoroughly recommend Las Terrazas.
We were there for 6 days and enjoyed every moment! Upon our arrival, the resort staff welcomed us with rum punch. The O restaurant at the resort has the best food and drinks. The pool is relaxing and refreshing. There are tables to eat by the pool or day beds and chaise lounges to eat on the beach. There are non-motorized watercraft for you to enjoy as well. The entire staff at Las Terrazas Resort is so welcoming!
I enjoyed the stay. Secret beach was the hangout space for my friends and I during our stay. A special mention to Jahfeeh Castillo that works on Las Terrazas Resort. He was quite helpful during our stay. My friend and I saw him zipping around on a Hobie Wave (a small sailboat) near the dock, and we asked him what he was doing and if we could go for a ride on it with him. He said yes and took us out for a sail. We stopped out at a reef and he took some photographs of my friend and I. It was a totally u expected mini excursion that we enjoyed, one of my top 5 experiences in San Pedro! We tipped him of course for his kind gesture. -Ivy (114)
This was such an amazing trip. From start to finish the staff was first class. We had someone to help us every step of the way. Food was amazing and drinks were delicious. The rooms were great and there were plenty of activities. Highly recommend staying here. Thank you Las Terrazas!
We stayed here in early June and had a wonderful stay. Our 3 bedroom penthouse ( Rm 348) had ocean view from our balcony and plunge pool. All 3 rooms were spacious and bathrooms very functional/clean. The full kitchen had all the needed cutlery and pans ( although no serving dishes) so we were able to make a quick lunch in between activities. The kids really like the plunge pool although we really enjoyed the beach just as well - lot's of shady places to relax in without having to fight for a spot - hammocks were also available for use - some good naps. A bit remote from San Pedro but easily accessed since we rent a golf cart for the 3days we were staying - 20 minute ride got us to town for brunch and dinners. There are grocery stores within 10 minutes but getting groceries in town was also just as easy! the concierge and front desk representatives were all so nice especially Candice, Sarai, and Curl! They all helped make our stay wonderful!!…
