I cannot say enough about how unbelievably awesome this place is for a getaway. I can't even list all the amenities - golf, spa, farm to table food, hiking, biking, horseback riding, fishing, clay shooting, pool, shopping, beer garden, concerts, s'mores, surprises from the Fairy Godmother, gardens, ruins, museum, contemplative spots throughout, bocce ball, horseshoes, hammocks, claw foot tubs, large...

What a great find. My relatives have been telling us about this place for years. Having our dogs with us we had to stay in a certain area. Nearby was a dog run as well as several trials from easy to "strenuous" trails. Daily I took them on a hike. We did 5 miles one day and the next 4...

I would never have found this place on my own or even considered staying here. Some friends suggested that we meet here for a couple of nights since we were all coming from Atlanta. The staff is extremely helpful and accommodating. The cottage was large and had a lot of amenities. I was very relieved to find that the air...

The resort is beautiful, the staff is very friendly, and the food is very good. We loved staying in the 1 bedroom cottage. There are many things for kids to do, and we had a great time. Also we loved walking around the property, the ruins and gardens are beautiful.

Wonderful resort about 1 1/2 north of Atlanta, well worth making the trip for. The welcome was warm, service impeccable and the accommodation perfect. The cottage was well furnished and there was lots of room to relax. The cottages/houses and grounds are pretty and all in keeping with the original estate and The Ruins. The web site doesn't do the...

Stayed for a long weekend in May for a friend's birthday celebration. The property is beautiful and the accommodations very nice. Service is excellent, pool and spa are awesome. I didn't play golf but those who did, said the course was great. The grounds are beautiful. At night they will light the fire pits in front of your cottage for...

Just returned from a one-night trip to Barnsley Resort and had a lovely time. The grounds are beautiful, rooms are charming and comfortable. My only suggestion regarding our room was in the bathroom area - the shower of our particular unit looked a bit worn and could stand some updating, but wasn't off-putting. Pool was wonderful and we had no...

I just returned from spending two nights at Barnsley Gardens Resort located about one hour north of Atlanta. The resort consists of dozens of lovely cottages laid out like a small city. Park your car and leave it as the resort is easy to cover by walking. It is a first class, beautiful place. I stayed in one of the...

We came for 1 night and stayed in a lovely manor house. The room was very comfortable and had a great bathtub with wonderful robes, slippers, and toiletries. We enjoyed the pool and walking on the resort property. The history of the resort is fascinating. Dinner room service could be better as we waited for over an hour. We will...

I had the extreme pleasure of enjoying two nights stay at this resort with a young friend I was treating to a celebration from college. Our arrival was so prompt at check-in and the assisting staff took us straight to our cottage that was right at the Woodlands Grill and made our meals there convenient...the golf course and swans on...
