Stayed at the Fugger Cabin. No words to explain what makes this resort so different. Ever watch one of those Hallmark movies in that picturesque small town in the country? Yep, that's Barnsley. But add a golf course, spa, horseback riding, authentic ruins, river, lakes, and add service more worthy of a 5 star resort. March was coldly beautiful. Our...

From the moment one approaches the front gate you get the sense this is someplace special. You are greeted with a warm smile and an offer to help. Barnsley is a relaxed full service resort that is both a family place and also a romantic couples getaway. My wife and I recently returned from our Anniversary celebration and the staff...

It had been over a year since our last visit and upon our return we found it to be even better than we remembered. From arrival to departure the service was friendly, welcoming and accommodating. Although we didn't dine at Rice House this trip, we did pop in for a drink and to see some old friends on staff. The...

My husband took me here to celebrate my 40th birthday. Since it was January we practically had the whole place to ourselves. We enjoyed walking around the manor ruins, we stopped to pet some of the horses, a donkey and a goat, & we did a little hiking and saw a whole bunch of wild turkeys. Personally my favorite aspect...

This was my second visit to the resort. It is a great relaxing but full service location for a very productive business meeting. Once you arrive you never need to step off the property for meals or activities. Service is fantastic - every single staff member stops and chats with you whenever they are passing by. The food was very...

Very nice little resort. Has a golf course (though I am not a golfer). Cabins were very nice, restaurant had good food. Would be a good venue for a wedding. Was there in winter so not as much stuff to do but has a spa also, good place close to Atlanta just to unwind.

We stayed for a weekend as a family vacation. We rented a whole cottage so each couple had their own room. It was nice having the shared kitchen and living space. One of our favorite things about the Adelaide cottage was the front porch. We spent many hours reading, talking, swinging, and rocking. The weekend we went in January the...

It is a wonderful experience for families, couples, singles to visit a world wide acclaimed resort and spa dressed in its best both inside and out. Easy parking. Enjoy coffee or light snack etc at the restaurant. Several of...

The location is lovely. Gorgeous grounds steeped in history. The ambiance can't be compared. The service could use some work, though, as could the food. Restaurant on site has gone downhill a tad, which is a shame. Food quality and customer service must improve, but the location and atmosphere make up for most of the problems. For families and couples...
