My family stayed at the Aloft Aventura during the first part of a Florida trip to visit family. It was Spring Break week and Passover so this hotel provided an affordable option in a convenient location. Overall, a decent stay. Here's some details.... Check-in - We arrived very early in the day after a delayed red eye flight from Nevada. After picking up our rental car, I called and asked if there was any way we could get an early check-in. They let us know that they already had a room ready for us! This was much appreciated after a tiring night of travel. I also asked ahead of time about the parking situation, which she explained (detailed below). Once we arrived and parked, our check-in only took a couple of minutes.   Parking - I'll explain the parking as some of the reviews mentioned how it was confusing / wasn't described on the website. The parking garage is directly across the street and the entry is around the corner. When you first arrive, just enter the garage and get a ticket from the machine. Then bring this ticket to the front desk when checking in. They will validate it and this will be what you use your entire stay. You can come and go as you please with the daily parking charge. When you want to re-enter the garage, don't take another ticket, just scan the one you got validated at the entrance. It actually was very easy. There are stairs and an elevator on the corner near Grazzianos.  Location - Location is good in that it is near just about anything you could need. Grocery stores, wal-mart, target, mall, etc all very close. We walked to the Whole Foods and it wasn't a bad walk at all. The complex this hotel is within is a few buildings with offices and condos. All have street-level restaurants ranging from Starbucks to Ruth Chris Steakhouse. The area was packed every night we were there. Not enough to cause any noise issues though. Beach is not far as well, but there was quite a bit of traffic getting there. Not sure if this is all the time or maybe because it was spring break. Room - We stayed in room 609, which was away from the elevator and overall very quiet. The room wasn't large as others have mentioned, but I've stayed in NYC and European hotel rooms much smaller. The problem with the rooms is its use of space. It's basically divided in two - a sleeping area and the bathroom. The sleeping area has the beds and "tables" affixed to the wall. Everything else, including drawers, closet, fridge, etc are on the bathroom side. All the main lighting is on the bathroom side (bedroom side has small bed lamps and uplighting) so the room can be quite dark. On the flip side, the pull-down shades for the two windows kept out alot of light which is great if you're trying to sleep late.  As others have said the shower is pretty bad. It's located very high up so by the time water gets to short people like myself there just isn't a lot of pressure. The smart TV has netflix so that's always a plus. We all found the beds to be very comfortable and slept quite well. Unfortunately as others have mentioned the AC is very loud. We did get used to it but I could see it being a problem if you're a light sleeper. Amenities - The pool is very nice and heated to a really pleasant temperature. Unfortunately, there was work being done at the pool which was loud, but we were able to zone it out. Hopefully that wraps up soon. My daughter and I were playing cards on the deck one evening and we were kicked out at 10, even though signs said it was open until 11. The lobby area has some nice seating and games, including billiards which we enjoyed after being kicked off the pool deck. There is free coffee in the lobby - yay!  Overall impressions - Definitely a bit of wear and tear on some furniture and paint. I don't think it's that old of a hotel so that seems odd. Staff were generally friendly and attentive. We did have one maintenance issue in our room which was quickly addressed when we notified the front desk. Still not sure if I'd return - would probably do so if price were right.

Chaotic front desk. Very small gray walled hotel room containing one king sized bed with 4 cheap thin foam pillows, one wooden bench for luggage, two narrow shelf desks with one small chair and one lamp, and a nonfunctioning telephone plus a noisy A/C unit. View of a highway and parking lot. Small bathroom with no amenities other than a miniature bar of soap and a half-pint bottle of water. And all for $415.00 for one night. Quelle rip-off!

I stayed here one night. The lobby is on the second floor. The check in folks were very friendly. The hotel itself was kind of messy, The carpeting on my floor (8th) was very stained. There were dirty dishes and items left on chairs in the hallway. The room was small. Not terribly comfortable.

Stayed here for 2 nights at the beginning of our vacation. This is a relatively new hotel in a new development of office buildings, trendy shops, cafes, and restaurants. Nearby there is a shopping comples (grocery store, target, fast food options). Its also a quick drive to the Aventura mall. I was debating on booking the Aloft vs the AC hotel across the street (similarly priced) but I went with the Aloft because of the self parking option. Parking was in a shared complex across the street. When arriving to the hotel its really not obvious how the parking works. We had to temporarily park a block away and make our way to the second floor lobby for information. Then walk all the way back to park our car in the complex. Even the instructions we were given from the hotel were confusing about whether or not we had in/out privileges, when to validate the parking, etc… Hotel should add instructions to the website! Theres an elevator in the parking complex. It brings you down to the first floor so you can get out… but the door to go back IN was always locked so we had to use the stairs. Just ALOT of walking getting around this hotel! All my requests at check-in were granted (high floor, away from elevators). The room was clean and functional. The beds/sheets were very comfortable. TV had youtube and netflix apps. The cons are the loud air conditioner. Also the room (and hallways) is very dark. Only 2 tiny windows on each side of the room over the desk. I think 2 nights was enough at this hotel - We were over it!

Great stay! We were in town for work and stayed for the weekend. Everyone was extremely friendly. The hotel pool and gym were great. The location is great with tons of restaurants in walking distance. I would definitely stay here again if I’m in the area.

Great location, easy parking and the hotel validates your parking garage ticket. Central to Sunny Isles and Aventura. Rooms are clean and the staff is great with pets. I stayed here bc I was traveling with my dog.

My stay was prior to a cruise. I needed to complete a covid rapid test within 48 hours of departure. I began the test and lost internet connection. The land line phone in the room didn’t work. Disappointed

We arrived and pulled as close to the hotel as we could get, although still nearly a block away and were trying to figure out how/where to park and check in. Called the hotel and waited on hold for eleven minutes before they hung up on me. Called back again and did not receive an answer. I double-parked and dropped my wife off with the luggage while I cruised around to find somewhere to park so that we may check in and find out where the hotel parking was located. Parked a couple of blocks away and went to the lobby where a perky staff member was very busy and trying to service a number of customers and wrangle the phones at the same time. Earlier in the week we had decided to stay an additional day at this hotel on the front of the trip and when I attempted to add this extra day to the reservation I was told that I had to cancel and rebook the entire stay just to add one day. We ended up just booking that one day so had two confirmation numbers. The staff at the hotel was unable to let us know if we'd need to switch rooms in the morning and we were told just to check with the day staff the next day. Sure didn't make us feel special by this time. Tried to get the staff to setup my Mariott Bonvoy mobile key on my phone and after several attempts was told that the day staff would have to handle this as well. The next morning we checked back at the front desk and was told that we would not have to switch rooms and they would take care of the reservation details while we were at breakfast. Fast forward a couple of hours when we checked back with the front desk nothing had been done about the reservations or staying in the same room. After another twenty-minute wait they did finally clear this up. That was nearly 35 minutes out of my morning that wasn't in my vacation plans. I also asked the day staff to update my mobile key so that we could get around the hotel more easily and after another five minutes was told that they were unable to figure out how to do this and that I would have to call Marriott to figure this out. Not sure why I'm the one who has to become the tech guy to figure out their tech. Other than having to head to the front desk every evening to ask the staff to fill my ice bucket, yes the ice machine was not working on my floor and was not fixed five days later when we departed, the remainder of the stay was uneventful. Just a rocky start with an overwhelmed staff who did not seem to be trained very well.

Shower is horrendous. A slow trickle. I could not reach the head to adjust it as it is placed 8 feet above floor, luckily my son is tall and was able to reach. Even on the stronger stream all you got was a trickle. I could not wash my hair properly the whole stay. Room was not clean when we got there. Housekeeping forgot to come first day. On checkout day we had a do not disturb sign. Nonetheless, housekeeping knocked at 10 asking to clean. Checkout was at noon! I come to the area 3-4 times a year. I usually stay at the AC across the way. That will be my plan going forward. Overall property is meh, service meh, cleanliness poor and shower the worst of any hotel I’ve been at (and we had engineering look at it and they said that’s how all the showers are).
