stayed for business. The location is great, but we are talking about a small city, so everything is close. I got a room facing the pool. This has a small indoor room looking into the pool. (sort of hard to explain) Which the hot tub was heated... it was not
My first impression was not good . We got a room with a jacuzzi on the balcony that was probably the only good thing about this hotel. The hotel reminds me of an old apartment building transformed into a hotel. This place is not handicapped accessible and they do not have handicapped parking. and parking in general is very limited . Way overpriced for this hotel not worth it. I wouldn't suggest staying here at all.
I am writing this as i’m still trying to get some sleep. People occupying the room above me have been walking around non stop. I tried calling for the reception but their phone is not working. Looks 4stars but i didn’t come here for looks. I came here to rest!! And somehow i can’t do that for the price i paid.
Scruffy, old fashioned, no cleaner daily, beds not changed. Supply a microwave and asked for plates and cutlery and was told they don't do plates or cutlery. Supplied 2 paper cups!!! This ended up costing us £1,400 a night as our fight got a cancelled so ended up only 2 nights and yet they wouldn't even give us an extra hour on the day we were departing.
I stayed here because the reviews were overall good and it was reasonably priced by Aspen standards at about $300/night. Almost anywhere else this hotel should cost no more than about $130/night. Pros: - Location, reasonable walking distance to any place in town, and bus stop is across the street - Comfortable beds - Breakfast is included - Airport transfers are included - Friendly front desk, they’re doing a great job, just don’t have much to work with Cons: - Noisy: thin walls, could hear adjacent rooms, people in hallway and on streets/sidewalks outside - No daily housekeeping! Had to call to have trash removed from room and just ended up walking down the hall to the maid’s closet to get fresh towels. Supposedly this is due to COVID-19 but I’m pretty sure their prices were not lowered to reflect the lack of service. - A/C is extremely loud, as others have noted, and doesn’t really cool the room all that well. We tried using it on night #1 and switched to just opening the patio door and window for the remaining nights - Room was in need of repairs. Bathroom sink drained extremely slow, so any time you ran the water you had a sink full of dirty water from washing your hands, brushing your teeth, etc. Doors were all creaky and loud, they could fix this with a little WD-40 but why bother if you can get $300/night anyway? Microwave didn’t work. - Bathroom is very small, not great if you have more than 1 person in room - Carpet on exterior stairs was coming loose and is a trip hazard - Shampoo was gross, made my hair feel greasy, bring your own Wouldn’t stay here again.…
Tired. Dirty. Overpriced. Top three things that come to mind when I reflect on my first stay here. The staff is very helpful and friendly. The location is good. The hot tub was hot. The Wi-Fi was strong. That’s the extent of positive things I can come up with. Like so many things in Aspen, this is 2 star quality at 4 star pricing. The closest reference for me is a 2 star roadside best western. Putting aside the peeling paint and very outdated furnishing, the worst thing about this place is that it’s no clean. There are grubby hand marks all over doors and walls. The shower curtain wasn’t long enough to do its job. The air con is louder than a construction site. The bed is relatively comfortable and that’s a nice place to leave it.
My Husband and I included this hotel in the list of options for guests to stay at for our wedding in Aspen. What a mistake to include this hotel. Every guest that stayed here had a horrible experience. The rooms are DIRTY AND OLD, the bathrooms are TINY and for some reason radiant heat was pumping in the middle of the Summer, the AC units were broke and some rooms had up to 3 box fans blowing to circulate air. The pool heater was broke. No food available on property, ice machines were broke, zero customer service. For the high price, this place is embarrassing. DON'T STAY HERE.
I do not usually write reviews on hotels, but I am writing this review in hopes that this hotel will spend the high amount of the daily stay to start renovating the rooms. The carpet is dated and very stained. The rust velvet type chairs are stained on the arm rests. The appliances are dated and bar stools are stained. The bathroom is spacious, but dated. Tile on the floor is chipped up. Coffee and soap products were very nice. The absolute plus to this hotel is location. We were in walking distance from restaurants and gondola area. We chose this hotel due to sold out hotels in this general area. I will say that we paid too much for this hotel. The quality of the hotel does not match the price that we paid. Do yourself a favor and keep looking.
Good location but poor condition of bathroom -mold on shower floor and shower handle came off! Dust on bed headboard- AC doesn’t work and room gets very hot- Bathroom very cramped Towels frayed and old Fir the price I really expect better Not at all comfortable Free breakfast just mediocre and the lady who works there very rude and unfriendly
Hotel is clean and well kept but our experience was not real great. The AC in our room wasn’t working. They sent up a maintenance man who said there wasn’t anything he could do about it because the unit was old. Then the power went out in our room not once but twice where they had to reset the breaker. We spent the rest of our stay there making sure we didn’t turn on too many lights or devices so it didn’t happen again. A worker came up after the second power outage to see if it was working. I asked him about the AC and his solution was to bring us a box fan. Not once did they offer to move us to a different room. Needless to say it was an uncomfortable nights sleep. The next morning we went to check out and get our breakfast and the girl putting our breakfast boxes together was quite possibly the most unpleasant person I’ve ever been around.…
