Back for a fourth time and as good as it was when it first opened. An extremely enjoyable experience. Entire staff was welcoming and accommodating and went that extra mile including bartenders, bellmen, waitstaff. Special shout out to Valeria who assisted with a special request before arriving as well as Savo at the front desk. Both went above and beyond to make our stay most enjoyable. Only issue was my daughter is gluten free and there was nothing at breakfast for her to eat. Once pointed out to management they made an effort to get gluten free toast and told me they will address the issue in the future.
I have stayed at many W hotels and they never seem to disappoint, for sure they delivered at the W in Aspen. The hotel offers completely rides to/from the airport and throughout town in a few nice BMW X5’s. We never had to wait long for a ride anywhere. The hotel was over sold and we tried to get an upgrade with no luck and we’re concerned about the roll from a few other reviews. They were wrong, we had the room with 2 queens and one was elevated. This set up made the roll feel more spacious. The room itself had modern decor, plenty of storage in the closets and the signature heavenly W beds. There is a nice Lavazza coffee machine in the closet and they have a small refrigerator if you need it. Some reviews complained of lack of space, I was traveling with a friend and we had plenty of room for all of our stuff. They have a DJ every afternoon in the bar on the second floor. This place was not busy during the week, it seems like only on Fridays and Saturday’s, but on those days it was a good crowd for Apres ski. We did eat here and the burger and Mahi was solid. They also have a good breakfast. On the roof they have a good sized hot tub and heated pool. There is a heated towel cabinet but no where to really put your stuff so you have to run from the bar where you dropped your stuff to the tub. The tub faces the mountains and you get a great view on a clear night. The bar is closed in the winter but I would suspect it’s a cool spot in the warmer months. The location is also great. If your skiing Ajax there is a small path you can take and walk right to the gondola. Across the street there is a market and pharmacy, you can also walk just about anywhere from here. The W delivers in all the right places! Next time I’m in Aspen I will be returning…
We had a incredible time and were extremely impressed by the top customer service of Nelson and his entire team. Everyone from the minute we checked in, to when we checked out they did not miss any details to provide a 10 out of 10 experience. This hotel really impressed me, other hotels should learn from them. The W Aspen is one of my favorite hotels in the world! We stayed here last year December and loved it so much we came back this year. This was one our first stays with newly achieved Ambassador Status and I can highly recommend this property. The service is excellent and I found it better than the St. Regis nearby. Everyone is so friendly, accommodating, and helpful. I forget the lady’s name who check us in but she was wonderful. Along with Perry. Special thank you to Spencer who helped us with setting up our BMW test drive. He and his team were the best! Also to Sam who delivered us late night tea and was so friendly. Also to the incredible restaurant staff including Sharny, Vishwas, and Alex. You all made our stay so special! Thank you, we can’t wait till next time!
I wanted to reach out to share with you the top-notch service I received from the W team during my stay last week at the W Aspen. We were greeted by our W driver who was on time and waiting for us at the airport. We were then welcomed in by your delightful front desk staff, most notably Suvo who was so helpful in getting me checked into a room I felt comfortable in. We were on a girls ski trip and I expressed my concerns overstaying in a bunk bed and the possibility of falling. Suvo was able to get us moved to another double bed room that we felt much more comfortable in and was so helpful and patient with me in the process. Of course, I loved being greeted with a glass of rose'! I also have to add that you have the most prompt and polite drivers. We never had to wait long for rides to and from our reservations. It was an overall great experience!…
Hands down best EXPERIENCE we have ever had, and we travel the world. The talent (employees) give genuine, bespoke service that is unforgettable. Ankit from India made a desert for us himself from his country on our last day (see picture). Heartfelt. Sol from Argentina anticipated our needs before we knew them, as did all the servers at the "Living Room". All the food was great. Of course you have restaurants all over town to choose from, but we were content eating in-house because the food and service was memorable. Everyone at front desk check-in and Concierge and Valets went out of their way to take care of us as well... Forget Stuffy Little Nell and St Regis, W Aspen is where the fun is at and memories are made! We will be back!
Wonderful hotel and the most welcoming front desk staff, including most notably, Andrea. The rooms are fabulous with great amenities including toiletries, shower, bathrobes and Frette slippers, very cool design, the most luxurious bed and bedding, and so quiet. So why didn't I give 5 stars?? Because the dining was sub-par; food was no better than average and service may have been the worst - virtually non-existent. The only reason I can think of for the disconnect in hotel staff and dining staff is maybe dining is contracted out. So stay here, but eat elsewhere - anywhere else - so many great options out there.
This is a lovely hotel but you pay top dollar every amenity. The service was top notch and the roof top pool and bar area is great. It’s a good location for walking around town. But bottom line, at $1000/nite you should not get nickeled and dime for everything and your room shouldn’t be located on the first floor near the 5:30 am loading dock area.
We just completed a 4 night stay in Aspen at this W, which is located conveniently in town. The check in process took 25 minutes; not because there was a line, but rather because they couldn't figure out the room availability and assignment. Of the 2 rooms we reserved, only 1 was available at the official check-in time which complicated getting ready for a formal dinner we needed to be at. The rooms themselves were fine overall and adhered to the typical W aesthetic, but the motion-driven lights and thermostat made for an uncomfortable temperature, and caused everyone to stir in the night when one person would get up for the bathroom. While there, we had 5 meals in the dining room (called 39 Degrees) and 2 on the rooftop next to the pool. Of the 7 total, 6 had something incorrect about the order. The car service they provide, called Wheels) was changed to only be available on the half-hour after our first day there, and the lead valet (in the sport coat) was one of the most unprofessional staff members I've ever encountered at any hotel, seemingly overwhelmed by the most basic of things. The rooftop pool and hot tub was nice in the Aspen environment, although generally packed with people and loud, and a bit gross given the number of folks in the water. They rope it off at night despite saying it's available 24 hours. Overall it seemed as though they hire any 18 year-old and assign them a job, with no training on their specific assignment, and especially no basic hospitality training. There are many better choices than this in Aspen, and we definitely will not stay here again. In fact, if this is where the W brand now is, we may never stay at another W.…
We had a great experience on the Aspen W WETDeck rooftop. In particular, the bartenders Becca, Casey, and Will are outstanding. In addition, the food is quite good, and the entire staff is welcoming and friendly. We also enjoyed the memorable mountain-views.
