Detailed Reviews
We booked a top floor unit for four nights and enjoyed an actual wood burning fireplace — a true rarity these days!! The unit was spacious, with a balcony facing the slopes as well as a low rise modern linear apartment block. While close to the slopes and a lift, the walk is slightly uphill and for us 75 plus year olds, somewhat tiring!! Downtown Aspen was in easy walking distance, and parking was readily available in the condo’s outdoor parking lot. Staff was extremely helpful and pleasant.

My colleague picked this condominium and has been coming here for years. I first stayed in 308 and it was an inferno. So hot. Aspen is getting hotter and hotter and while other places have added window ac’s or alternative AC, Lift One offers 2 fans only that are $10.00 box fans from Walmart. People had to open their door for air which is insane to me. It’s also incredibly noisy and the parking lot was really hard to park my SUV with everyone else’s SUV. I then transferred to 302. My colleague came and when told she was only allowed 2 fans, called the manager into the unit and showed her the thermostat which said 90 degrees!!! With fans in every window running 24/7 the unit never went below 76. As I said, the heat is here to stay and Lift One needs to upgrade and face that climate change is here. Apparently there has been a change of staff and the place is really outdated and run down. The location is great but everything is so close iit wouldn’t matter to be a few blocks either direction. Yes, it is cheaper than some places but it’s also more than others.
It’s overpriced for what is offered and I feel there is no sincerity in making guest comfortable. Everyone on the third floor was complaining about the heat, noise, and the pool was never covered at night which some folks told me is illegal. I don’t know about that but it’s another thing to consider.

306 Is a great place. Everything you want in a rental. Location, comfort and accessibility. Fully stocked kitchen and comfy beds. Walkable to everything.
This is a beautiful end unit with a wraparound porch useable no matter the weather. A sunny winter day or a hot summer day. It has large windows with great natural light. It is less than a 5-minute walk to the chair lift as well as on the direct bus line to Snowmass and Highlands. We have been renting unit 306 for many years and will continue to do so.

An older condo complex set a few blocks away from the city-center which makes it a little quieter. The rooms are clean with daily room service. The staff is very friendly and quick to solve any problems. Plenty of firewood and towels for the hot tub and heated pool. Parking is a bit tight but if the lot is full you can usually find something close on the street.
As I mentioned, the place is not new or luxurious but is very comfortable and a fair price...for Aspen! I've stayed there 5 times and will most likely stay there again.

Lift one was a very nice place to stay, and was within minutes of everything. The rooms were great we had a 3 bedroom condo furnished with everything possible to the imagination. Great view of one side of Ajax(Aspen Mt. Nice heated pool and just a relaxing place to stay out of the normal busy places. We stayed for 10 days and i would go back to Lift One without a doubt!!!

We stayed in unit 203 and the condo itself was in great shape. Granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, wood burning fireplace and flat screen TV's in every room.
The issues started after our first night. We got a call from management saying that they had received several phone calls about noise from residents, and that they had instructed them to call the police to have us removed from the premises if it happened again. It seemed a little outrageous to instruct people to call the police after we hadn't even received one complaint the night before. Still, we apologized and kept things as quiet as possible the next night. Unbelievably, someone knocked on our door at 10pm and said that our laughing was keeping them up.
The bottom line is, the walls are ridiculously thin here - so if you stay up past 9 or 10pm chances are there is going to be someone complaining about you. Having to tiptoe around a condo is not exactly my idea of a good time.
Management also informed us that there was a showing of the condo while we were staying there. When you pay over $2000 for a few nights it seems a little ridiculous for people to be barging into your room while you're trying to relax after a day of skiing.
This is a nice place with a great location, but I'd recommend it only for families. People in their 20's and 30's will likely get annoyed by the lack of respect from management and paper thin walls. We'll be looking elsewhere next time we travel to Aspen.

Response from LiftOne, Manager at Lift One Condominiums
Responded 16 Mar 2011
The management at Lift One agrees with the guest in one very important way. We do enforce respectable sound levels. In this particular situation, every apartment that was near this guest’s unit complained the morning after of the unacceptable noise levels. We wholeheartedly admit that if we have a group of guests running, yelling profanities, opening and slamming doors, throwing items off the balcony and partying loudly from 1am to 4am we will take all necessary measures to ensure this will not happen again during the guest’s stay. This is completely unacceptable to our other guests. We have several units for sale here at Lift One and when we have a request to view a unit we call the occupants 24 hours in advance and ask them if it is OK for the broker to view it. They have the option of saying no and we would not ask the guests again for showings. In this case we asked these guests if a broker could view the unit and they agreed. When the broker arrived, we called the guests to inform them and we sent the broker up to the unit. We do not have a policy of “barging in” on our guests. What we have here is a group of young men who will be much better at a lodge that caters to their particular needs. At Lift One we work hard to offer a fun and respectable atmosphere for all of our guests so that they depart with the most memorable vacation possible.

We stayed in a 3 bedroom condo from 12/22 to 12/26/03. There were 6 of us and the place comfortably accomodated us all with 3 bathrooms. The price was very reasonable for that time of year. We usually stay at Aspen Square which is comparable but closer to downtown area.
Everything was very nice, the staff was friendly and welcoming. One nice touch they might think of adding would be robes in the rooms as the walk to the hot tub was a little chilly! We would stay there again no problem.

My wife and I stayed there Oct 6-9th.
When we checked in and paid in full, we went to our room (409) looked out our balcony and saw a new condo under construction.
Noise started at 7:30am ended at 5pm.
All views of the mountains will soon be lost forever.
There are much better places to stay in Aspen.
Overall room was nice but tired looking.
We will not be back !

Response from LiftOne, Manager at Lift One Condominiums
Responded 20 Oct 2015
We appreciate you choosing Lift One for your weekend getaway and regret the inconvenience of the construction to the south of our building. We had not known when this construction was going to start or to what extent. The condo you stayed in faced out toward the construction so I am aware now that it was a problem for you. We have a wonderful accommodating staff that would have been happy to move you to another condo on the other side of the building but you never mentioned to us that you were unhappy. This condo, although now impacted by this construction going on, is a recently upgraded unit with beautiful finishes and furnishings. When the construction is finished, the view of Aspen Mountain from the condo should still be there. We are confused why you would request staying with us again next fall if this was such a problem. Again we regret this incident, but it is always a good idea to convey to our staff your needs and issues and we can remedy the situation in a very timely manner.

My husband, friends and I stayed here over the weekend as part of a wedding celebration. I'll start with the pros. Each couple had their own bedroom and bathroom in our particular unit, the complex is well located for walking into town, the staff was friendly and accommodating, and for Aspen, the price really couldn't be beat. The cons: Beds were uncomfortable, bedding was tired, the cleaning staff could have done a better job (on the floors in particular), and we heard lots of noise from the neighbors above us and from people moving on the walkways in the complex. Our condo was nice enough, but I'm pretty discerning when it comes to lodging and it really wasn't up to my (admittedly picky) standards. If you're just looking for a place to crash and want a decent deal, it'll do.

This is our fourth trip to Aspen and have always stayed at Lift One. It is very reasonable compared to hotels nearby. It's within walking distance to the bus station, music tent and downdown. The 2 bed 2 bath condo we had this year was recently updated and very, very nice.
