As the starting point of a camping expedition, we flew into Aspen for just one night and knew we would be staying less than 12 hours. I’ve stayed in the more expensive hotels in Aspen before but I found it really hard to justify staying at any of them which cost upwards of $600 per night since we were there for such a short amount of time. After much research, I booked at St Moritz. My only regret is not staying at this hotel sooner! We stayed in the room with a private bathroom, it was clean and modern with toiletries provided. The room was clean and quiet. The bed was comfortable. There are hiking trails right outside the parking lot. The view from our room was spectacular. I slept very well. Tom, the host is so great! He gave us a map and some hiking recommendations when we checked in. The next morning we went to Maroon Bells at 7am for a hike and didn’t quite get finished until 10am which was checkout time. I called the hotel frantic and Tom was so accommodating, told me not to worry about rushing back to check out. My husband and I were so pleased with the discovery of this little gem and we definitely plan to be back for a longer stay!!!…
We had a very nice stay. The lodge is cosy and the staff is very friendly. The location is also very convenient. The basic breakfast with bagels, danishes, boiled eggs, and fruits is adequate. The lodge also offers wine late afternoon. We will be back, but ask for a room facing the swimming pool!
Really sweet place, cozy and comfy, great prices. Awesome, warm pool. Great to relax in after a long hike. Lovely flower-filled grounds. But the best was Tom, who was incredibly kind and went above and beyond in his courtesy and helpfulness. I am embarrassed to confess that I left my hiking poles (they allowed us to leave our gear in the office after we checked out and explored Town). Tom sent them to me via UPS - wow! Tom really made a difference to us. Thank you!
We stayed in a room with 2 saggy single beds, and a shared bath. The room was very small and spartan. Very overpriced even for Aspen. The room was too warm cuz the frig heated it up, and we were on the 3rd floor with the tiniest window. Would recommend checking for alternatives. It was on a quiet street with a nice courtyard.
I first wrote this on Google Reviews while still staying here since the owner, as well as Tom (one of his staff members), were incredibly helpful after our first night here. There was a baby across the hall that had a bad night, so we didn’t sleep well. The next morning I asked if they had a white noise machine we could borrow, which was a more of a shot in the dark but it’s always worth asking. At first they tried to move our room, but given that it was 4th of July weekend, they were all booked up. We appreciated their attempt at helping, but left for morning coffee. After we came back, Tom let us know that the owner actually went out and got a white noise machine for us! That was truly amazing customer service. Our mid-morning nap was incredible and so was our second night of sleep. At first we thought that maybe the baby wasn’t there. Nope, after turning if off baby was definitely across the hall. Stay here for the great value, proximity to downtown, and excellent customer service. …
What a pleasant stay at this friendly clean welcoming lodge in beautiful Aspen. After a long day in the car, the 90 degree pool was most enjoyable. Comfortable beds, efficient check-in and good breakfast choices. We will definitely stay here again.
travelers stay away from this hotel I won't even call it motel since you have to share bathroom with other guests..,,we stayed here one night it was an awful experience....tiny rooms and lobby and marijuana smell everywhere!
We stayed here for 2 nights and could not be happier with our stay. On the day of the arrival, we arrived around 7:30PM, and by that time the reception closed down. However, they left the check in instructions and key outside with our names. There is plenty of parking outside if you don't find a parking right next to the hotel. The room was nice and cozy, and the bathroom was pretty with mirrors on both sides. Overall, we enjoyed our stay here in beautiful Aspen!
This place was cute a little out dated but right at the end of town 0.7 miles. It’s a nice brisk walk to the center of the town. The mattress was very springy I expected better out of the mattress. This was my first experience in a hostile hotel but we paid extra for the private room and bathroom. We paid $125 and well worth having your private bathroom inside the room. The front desk clerk was very nice young man. We had hot hot water for our showers and high water pressure which was great after a cold night on the street. The place was very clean and the lobby had a very cute layout.
Aspen is awesome and so is this hotel. It is walking distance from downtown, has a beautiful garden and an amazing heated pool. The room was comfortable and very charming. Parking is limited so keep that in mind. Wifi was good and great service from the front desk. I will most definitely be back.
