Our breakfast experience at the Velvet Buck in the St Regis was nothing short of exceptional. Omar and Jose, our hosts, demonstrated unparalleled professionalism and warmth, creating an atmosphere that exceeded expectations. Their dedication to ensuring a delightful breakfast made us feel not just like guests, but valued members of the St Regis family. With their affable personalities and commitment to service, Omar and Jose have undoubtedly secured us as lifelong St Regis enthusiasts. Highly recommend for a breakfast experience that goes beyond the ordinary. Special recognition is due to Gerson, the manager of the Velvet Buck at St Regis Aspen. Over the years, Gerson has consistently made us feel like cherished members of the St Regis family. His leadership shines through in the best-in-class team he oversees. Congratulations to Gerson for his commitment to creating an unforgettable experience for guests. His genuine hospitality and dedication contribute significantly to the hotel's warm and welcoming atmosphere. Here's to Gerson and the entire team for making our stays at St Regis truly extraordinary.

Unfortunately we had all kinds of issues from luggage put in wrong room to no coffee. We must of spoke to 20 people and the language barrier made it very difficult and quite frustrating to so even simple things. That said as an Ambassador we love Marriott and the experience was specific to this property.

Splendid hotel, spacious and warm. Excellent attention not only from the front desk employees but also the various restaurants within the hotel. All the spaces in the lobby have a fireplace, providing warmth and peace. The complimentary chocolate drink, champagne, and smores are a treats to the quality of service. The exterior of the hotel exudes elegance and style. The rooms are impeccable with a unique view of the mountains. Special mention goes to the young individuals participating in the Work and Travel program who work in the restaurants for their friendliness and excellent service, including Federico (private dining), Tomaz (server), Marcelo (server), Sofia and Bruenalla (breakfast), and Milagros (server). Also, to the young individuals at the lobby entrance who are always attentive and willing to help with a unique smile and kindness. Also to the shutlle drivers. Congratulations to everyone, and hopefully, we can return to a truly excellent and unique hotel.

So far, this stay has not met our expectations of The St. Regis Aspen... 1/19/2024 — Friday • This is my 27th time here, though not every time to this hotel. Typical stay is five or six nights, usually six, so we do consider ourselves regulars. • Although we checked in at almost 3 AM on our first night, they were very clear that if we didn't show up they were going to charge our credit card about $1700 PLUS TAX for one night of missed stay, so we did something kind of stupid, which was to rent a car and drive over Vail Pass, the Eisenhower Tunnel, and Glenwood Canyon — which was treacherous and stressful, and took just under seven hours from Denver international airport. • And of course, you-know-who had to listen to a barrage of comments about my bad judgment. • In the end though, I was complimented with doing a safe and competent drive, although my body is stiff and I don't feel great. • That first night (1/17/24), even though the thermostat was set at 71°, heat just kept pumping out and it was 81°F in our room, very uncomfortable, so we asked for some repair...maintenance guys spent a couple of hours in our room with us yesterday and this morning when we got up it was 53°F in here and so cold that I had to turn on the shower and the bathtub hot water just to get a little heat into the room which promptly steamed up everything as one might imagine. Basically we went from heat that doesn't shut off to air-conditioning that doesn't shut off. • There also was an incessant chirping coming through the wall from the next room, 515, and it apparently was a smoke detector but constant chirping and not just every minute or so like happens at home when a battery is dead. • Our other complaint revolves around the newly imagined spa, because we are used to spending about 20 minutes just going into the Jacuzzi for 10 minutes and into the sauna for 10 minutes as a complimentary benefit, given our titanium elite status with Bonvoy and our previous Platinum status with Starwood. And we only do that maybe three of the six nights we stay. However, they will not accommodate our request and instead want to charge us $90 each to sit in a Jacuzzi for 10 minutes. And, there is a 22% mandatory gratuity on top of that. This is not well run! I think a lot of the problem is that they consider that a "day-pass", and 20 minutes does not constitute a day. • Also, the Saint Regis BUTLER at the airport needs to be empowered to herself go check the storage areas with the airlines, since there's no point in standing in line with a zillion other people to file a baggage complaint when the suitcase is right there behind a closed door. • Finally, one of the elevators is out and they have been working on it and were not able to fix it yesterday and people are definitely complaining. • On the flipside, prior to arrival we had multiple messages from the concierge and also to advise us about Butler service, and it seems to me that they've done a really good job of drumming up some excitement about a visit but the execution is problematic. • Also on the plus side, we are planning to ski today at Ajax and are looking forward to a nice dinner tonight at Cache Cache Restaurant... #StRegisResortAspen #StRegisAspen #StRegisFail

Beautiful resort with the best snow mountain views and neighborhood! We had a room upgrade to a cozy suite! The servers at Velvet Buck, Orly, Trina and Jellea are the best! Very attentive to our needs plus the breakfast menu is delicious & delectable! Leslie, one of the hotel’s hostesses was very courteous and attentive to our needs too! Best staff all around me and my family would go back in the summer!

The St Regis is a beautiful mountain hotel and my family overall had a great stay, however, we did experience some significant issues that I hope are eventually addressed. POSITIVES - great location, beautiful decor and ambiance, multiple jacuzzis and areas to relax. - the on call doctor (Eric?) was very kind and helpful to my fiancé who got a bad cold. - friendly staff who truly want to help - Daniel with the butler service who was amazing and walked our dogs so we could ski! - GREAT activities in the lobby for kids, hot chocolate, balloon making, stuffed toys NEGATIVES - The lounge restaurant service is slow and inconsistent. We had multiple appetizers and drinks forgotten or brought to the wrong table. Most of the waitstaff seems undertrained for a 5 star hotel. - In room dining was quick, but also inconsistent and we dealt with some language barriers (asking for berries and getting a bowl of raisins instead 🫠). It seemed like each time we ordered something it was prepared differently day to day. - Housekeeping did not respect the privacy sign one morning which ended in an awkward encounter. - The spa pools are over chlorinated and totally bleached my swimsuit :/ - THE SNOW LODGE. Our family has young kids who go to bed quite early and the pounding bass at night while trying to put them to bed was very disturbing. The club is literally a heated tent and has NO soundproofing. For a family oriented hotel, this is totally unacceptable. As a 5 star hotel, the St Regis has some room for improvement.

Third stay at this property and it did not disappoint. Can't beat the location close to Aspen's town/village. Enjoyed the lobby bar / restaurant. Hotel breakfast was terrific. My kids loved the daily hot chocolate bar in the afternoon. We had 2 connecting rooms for our family of four. The rooms are lovely, up to date, clean, modern. The ski shop across the street was very convenient for rentals. We used the hotel's house car to get to and from dinners. I can see us coming back again and again...

Amazing staying at St Regis in Aspen, enjoyed the town and skiing on Aspen mountain. The hotel has great service on the check in with Roberto and during my stay Daniel on the butler team did an amazing job taking care for us and my family. I’m definitely coming down to the hotel when I come back to Aspen. Would highly recommend to anyone wanting a family trip away.
