Location is very convenient, close to everything. Nice hotel and so clean. Front desk is very accommodating. Would happy to recommend this place and definitely will come back! Two thumbs up for this hotel!
Very friendly and accommodating. Safe and convenient to all shops and resorts. Aspen being closest even walking distance. Be mindful Aspen mountain has no greens. Jeff is great as well as the other staff. I had to keep extending and they were more than accommodating. Clean rooms, I suggest top floor as ceilings are vaulted so room seems bigger and Moore the lodge feel. Highly recommend!
Receptionist was nice, he gave us a map from the city he recommended some places to eat They have parking slot, we had some issues parking at the beginning since there are not many spaces but at the end we were able to park The room was nice, clean, they have fridge, microwave, dishes, kitchen and everything you can have to cook in there , which is something good since Aspen is pretty expensive. I definitely will go there again.
I anticipated a plain, dormitory like atmosphere but our room was in excellent condition decorated with fun ski memorabilia. Free parking and within easy walking distance to the main town. After check in, Jim at the front desk pulled out a map of Aspen and highlighted the must see attractions. He even carried my luggage up to the 2nd floor. Jim was always there to help with any question I had. Great stay!
What a gem of a place!! This was our first time in Colorado and we were so excited to get to visit Aspen- The Tyrolean Lodge exceeded our expectations! We loved the location so close to downtown so that we could walk around. We used the free biked to take a ride around on the Rio Grande trail. And the front desk gave us advice on the various hikes that we did. My kids enjoyed the free granola bars in the lobby :) We would love to return one day!!
We loved this lodge, and plan to be back! Spacious room, with a perfect storage area for wet skis and boards. Helpful staff, easy to reach at any time. Travelers should take to consideration that the building is old, and you can hear people walking and watching TV. Unless you feel entitled to zero noise at the certain time, you should be fine. Remember, talking nicely to people around you helps. Thanks, Tyrolean!
This was my first time staying at the Tyrolean Lodge and I would definitely return. I chose my room (#300) because it has a kitchenette, which I really appreciated because I was not sure about restaurants and if they would be closed because of the pandemic. The hotel is an old ski lodge and I appreciate it's charm and history. My room was clean an spacious and check-in was easy. I received an actual key to my room which was sanitized prior to receiving it. The staff are polite and helpful. Note that there is not an elevator and there are several stairs to get to the 3rd floor.p It was great to have complementary parking right outside the lodge. The room was hot when I arrived, but after opening the window and figuring out the thermostat, I was able to make it more comfortable. There is also a ceiling fan. The room is equipped with everything that you would need for a brief stay including a coffee maker and excellent organic coffee, a mini fridge, microwave and 2 burner electric stove. I cooked for myself most of the time I was there and bought groceries from Clark's Market, City Market and the Whole Foods in Basalt. I also bought wine and whiskey from Carl's which is 3 blocks from the lodge. The lodge is a few blocks from downtown which I like because it is pretty quiet. You do hear people going up and down the stairs and the room is right off of the stairs and faces the street. Buses start running around 5am so if you are a light sleeper than you may want to pick a different room. The hotel provides earplugs and it does state on their website that noise like this should be expected. I loved being able to watch the snow from my room, relax with a glass of wine and cook for myself without the worry of catching COVID. I enjoyed 2 excellent days of skiing at Snowmass without crowds or having to take care of anyone else (I'm a married mom of 2). Many of my friends were jealous and asked why I didn't ask them to join. Right now, I don't think that there is anything safer than skiing by yourself - as selfish as that may sound. Next week, we are embarking on a 2 week ski trip with our family of 4. I needed a break and the Tyrolean Lodge was the PERFECT place for me to recharge before the "stress" of a family holiday.…
amazing staff, very knowledgeable and accommodating- great process for late night checkin. unit was spacious and clean with a well stocked kitchenette (basic cookware, dishes, soap and dish towels). 5 min walk to shops and restaurants. limited parking out front but lots of safe street parking around too. good wifi. it's a cute laidback lodge with great vintage ski decor!
My son and I stayed here before heading out on a backpacking trip. The hotel was cute, and our room was spacious and comfortable. The staff could not have been more helpful: not only did they give us great advice on everything about Aspen, but they actually gave us some supplies for our trip. Next time I’m in Aspen, I’m staying here.
Tyrolean was a fantastic value for a place where you could easily spend 5x as much at a resort hotel. Probably worthwhile to note that this is probably not the place if you want a ton of amenities or a fancy place to hang out. This is a great, family run, motel lodge. Extremely comfortable and spacious rooms with a kitchenette. Great location. Friendly, accommodating staff. 5 stars for the price - but something to keep in mind depending on what you're looking for!
