It was just a one night stay and we were only at the campground from 10PM to 11AM the following morning. The people in our reserved campsite were not in any hurry to be out by 11AM, so the staff at the campground offered to hold our luggage and move it to the tent cabin when the people left. They...

I stayed here 2 nights with friends. We had 2 tents on site 19. We paid $25/pp per night, or a total of $200. The site was a little tight for 2 tents. I would recommend trying to get two sites adjacent to each other since they charge per person and per night. We also paid about $20 for a...

We had a family camping trip this weekend and we were able to choose our sites as soon as we got there, luckily we got there early enough to be able to choose sites next to each other. The staff is very friendly and there is ALWAYS someone there patrolling the area. A HUGE plus to this location is the...

I went here with a college group, and we rented two sites for the twelve of us. The price is steep, and you will be on top of other groups all around you. There were a few loud neighbors after ten, but the rangers kept the other groups of college aged kids quiet. It's about a mile and a half...

Four of us spent 2 nights in a tent cabin last week. Was very nice to not have to drag our own tents out to the island. Check in process was very easy & the rangers at the campground were kind and helpful during our entire stay. Tent cabin was well maintained. Yes, there were cobwebs etc, but it's camping,...

This campground is well kept and clean. If you looking for alternative to paying the high price for hotels in Avalon this is a great area up in the hills. We stayed in tent cabin that was perfect for our needs. The people that run this campground should be put in prison for polices on providing electricity for people staying....

Party of five stayed in a tent cabin. Clean and level. Cots OK. The table not level but kids worked it out, playing cards. Issue: Ranger lax enforcing 10 pm quiet time. I asked twice for quiet, Fri nite, with the 1st party complying. I asked the 2nd party, which consisted of 'workers, for quiet. I threatened to go to...

Hermit Gulch was a great alternative to the hotels on the island and actually was more pleasant then I expected. The sites were a little close for my liking but I was lucky enough to enjoy peaceful neighbors. The proximity to the Hermit Gulch trail that leads up to the Trans Catalina Trail was a great plus. Check out a...
