This hotel is like stepping back in time. It was very quite and quaint. The rooms are are very decorative and offer nice big beds. The service is very hospitable . It is in a smaller town so most businesses close early. It has a romantic feel to it in my opinion. I would recommend this hotel if you are...

We loved The Carlton Hotel. It is right off the freeway a bit south of the winery off ramps. It is beautiful and the rooms are large with very nice baths. The staff is quite knowledgeable with concierge-type questions. Note the restaurant space attached to the hotel is for lease, so they don't offer food except donuts and coffee in...

I had another opportunity to stay at The Carlton for several days. As always, everything was perfect. Very courteous and helpful staff. Very peaceful and quiet. Excellent housekeeping. A new coffee shop, Socrates, opened up two weeks ago just around the corner for a morning coffee and pastry. The Carlton has become my favorite place to stay when in the...

Our room was a good size, bathroom nicely renovated, clean and had all the amenities we needed. The front desk was very friendly and provided good restaurant suggestions. I wish there was a restaurant at the hotel, but that's a minor inconvenience. The hotel's parking lot sometimes gets filled up, so you have to circle around to find additional parking....

The Carlton Hotel was charming! It is beautiful and the people who work there are very kind and accommodating. We had a great time on our second visit and we know there will be a third! We were a bit disappointed that the bakery was closed, but The Fig down the street was a great alternative.

We were pleasantly surprised when we drove up to the front door of the Carlton Hotel just off the 101. You felt as if you were transported back to the 1940s with all the beautiful wood, library, and staircase. However it seems a bit mis-placed as there is not much going on anywhere nearby. The hotel's restaurant is closed down...

This was our second visit to the Carlton. We were pleasantly surprised on the first visit and equally satisfied this time as well. The hotel is quaint and well maintained. While the lobby and exterior have loads of historical character, the rooms are modern. The front desk staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. Paso is a 15 minute drive and...

The Carlton Hotel is by far the best hotel in this area. It has charm, elegance, and comfort. It cost a little bit more than the typical hotel/motel in the Paso Robles area, but for a memorable experience it is well worth the price.

The hotel was nice and well kept. The rooms were very nice a spacious. The staff was excellent and very helpful. One thing that was disappointing was that the restaurant/bar was closed down as well as the café next door.

I couldn't have hoped for a better experience. The staff was fantastic, always looking to please. The room was clean, spacious and the balcony made for a great place to meet up with our friends. ............................................................
