I give the hotel 3.5 stars. My first impression of the hotel was not good. You can't enter the hotel. If no one is at the window (reminded me of some late at night gas station windows), you have to ring the bell for service. I got to the hotel early. I was told (without seeing a person) that check-in was at 3.

There is a paper sign on the window that says breakfast is not included due to covid. However, it still says breakfast is included on the website (and on my confirmation email).

The room looks like it came out of the 1970s. The room has a lot of green and yellow. The furniture is very big. The bed was so comfortable. I slept the best I have in a long time. The drapes block out all light, so it's nice and dark to sleep.

The room has a small refridgerator and microwave. There is a small keurig coffee maker ( with 2 pods and cream and sugar). There isn't a bath. The shower has really good water pressure.

The neighborhood is nice, safe, and quiet. A short drive to Pismo Beach. A short walk to some of the sites of Arroyo Grande.

The housekeeping staff was very nice. The housekeeper helped me when my key wasn't working.

The hotel is a good value. As long as you get over the initial bad impression, you should have a nice stay.

People at the desk were friendly. Room was clean. beds were comfortable. I usually toss a pair of socks on in motels cause the carpets scare me. However, my socks were still white in the morning. They have a small patio. Not much of a view and they need a few chairs out there. If freeway noise bothers you, this is not your place. With the slider open you can see and hear it. with the door closed and the t.v. on, it doesn't bother you. If you've been at the beach or on the road all day, it won't bother you. Too cold for the pool, so i can't comment on it. They have Beekman goat soap and shampoo/conditioner in their shower.

The room was clean (other than the little handprints on the sliding glass door). The microwave and frig made it great for the price. The pool was closed. The inn keeper needed to be more rigorous about keeping the grounds clean. The same party hat sat on the stairs for four days. Also, the innkeeper had to be called to make a parking lot bbq with VERY loud music close after 11 pm. I would use this hotel again. It was affordable and in a great location. The freeway noise is negligible if you keep the sliding glass door closed. WiFi was sufficiently fast to watch movies. Good value for the money.

This hotel room had a balcony that overlooked the highway and it was very noisy at night. It was incredibly difficult to get to sleep with the traffic noise but I figured I would make up for this by sleeping in a little bit. One of the quests in the other rooms decided to bump some rap in the morning hours which is ridiculous and made it impossible for me to sleep in. Also you share a door with another room (its locked) but sound goes through it easily and its just a strange layout. I tried asking for a partial refund at the front desk but they were very inflexible and they really didn't make an effort to make the situation right. I spent 450 dollars to stay here for 2 nights!!!! I will never stay at this hotel again... lesson learned, avoid this place if possible.

The only nice thing about this place was that its relatively clean.

Hi Jet15445816383, Thank you for your kind comments regarding our high standards of cleanliness. We are sorry for the uncontrol road-noise, that our location is too close to the highway for your comfort and convenience. We hope you will change your mind about seeking out new accommodations in the area and that you'll give us another chance to change your perception of our hotel.

Dirty exterior areas (hallways/wastecans). Tired landscaping. Rooms in need of an update. Moldy scent in bathroom.
Staff WAS courteous and accommodating of a late night room-change request (not the property’s fault).
Pool was clean and suitable. No fitness or jacuzzi facilities.
Not much more to offer than the Econolodge that it used to be. Breakfast nonexistent, but also not advertised as an amenity.
In all not a bad choice for an overnight, but our two-day stay was enough.
Most rooms have a 100-ft exposure (across a Park n’ Ride lot) to CA Hwy 101, a major freeway

I had to stay in Arroyo Grande to help my Dad who was in the hospital and needed a low cost room for a week. When I checked in it did not look good from the outside. So I thought I might change hotels after one night but when I went into the room I was suppressed to find everything looked new. Flatscreen TV, refer, MW, new bathroom. Now Im not saying its the Rits but great for my needs. Next to the freeway but the room is sound proof . Small nice pool walking distance to cafe, ( 3 blocks ) Nice King bed. Coffee machine in room...

This is our 2nd time staying at the Aloha. It was great. The rooms are clean and comfortable. We had 4 other family members with rooms and everyone said it was
great. Because of Covid everything was a little weird, checking in at the window outside and no continental breakfast, but it was still okay. We have plans to stay again over New Years and have already booked a block of rooms for even more of the family. Kudos to the owners, the Panchals, they are super friendly and helpful.
Everyone stay safe.

Cleanliness was just barely satisfactory—mascara on a pillow case, hair in the bathroom, trash in the walkway. Room was attractive and nice size. Mattresses old an a little lumpy. Cannot recommend.

The room smelled old and mildewy. The sheets had hair (not our own) on them. There was food particles all over the floor. One of the Bedspreads was stained with blood! I called to get them replaced and the desk personnel appeared to be very annoyed at my request. On the second day we came to our room only to find a bug the size of a small hamster on the carpet! The only reason we stayed there was because it was a last minute trip and there were no other rooms available elsewhere. I payed $150.00 a night. It was not worth one third of that price. I will NEVER stay there again!!!

We don't have pets and didn't ask. Didn't see any when we were there. Should say in the reviews, if not just call and ask. It was a very nice, quiet place to stay.
