We stayed in the Sunporch Suite on July 9-11. Kris, the proprietor (and Jane-of-all-trades), is friendly, unobtrusive, knowledgeable and charming. She solely handles about 98% of the business and still manages to keep a warm spirit and smile. With a little encouragement, she delights in telling the story, of how the property became the grand presentation it is today. I...

Once a year we make the drive from Los Angeles to San Francisco and make it a point to stop off at Sand Rock Farm to visit Kris Sheehan, the inn's warm & gracious proprietor. As so many of the reviews about this B&B have stated, Sand Rock Farm truly is a California gem. The lush property, colorful gardens, stately...

Found this gem on trip from San Francisco to LA. Wanted a genuine american B&b rather than a faceless corporate hotel and this ticked all the boxes. Kris and Dean was so helpful without interfering. The rooms are very traditional, clean and large. We were in the hidden garden suite which was perfect for my family, large and set away...

I had to visit Santa Cruz for a 2 day business trip, and found a little bit of heaven on the way. I was tense and stressed about the business that I needed to handle, but the Sand Rock Inn managed to relieve all the stress for me. This was a place of solace, with beautiful gardens and quiet spots...

Stayed for 2 days while attending a wedding nearby. Kris and Dean were delightful and our room was very roomy and comfortable. Breakfast was unusually good for a B&B, and the gardens were beautiful. All in all a very peaceful and enjoyable experience; I would definitely stay there again.

Set in beautiful gardens, Sand Rock is a real oasis of old fashioned charm. The house is beautiful and the food inventive and delicious - the goats cheese souffle and asparagus was a particular treat. The room and house in general was very comfortable with lots of charming touches, plenty of books and magazines to curl up and read. Kris...

This is a lovely property in Aptos, which is close to Capitola Village, Moss Landing State Beach, and I could easily have gone to downtown Santa Cruz from here if I had chosen to. The room I stayed in was very large and had a beautiful window area with what was like a little living room. Totally serene and peaceful....

We arrived after several stressful days.  We found Sand Rock Farm B&B to be very restful and just what the 'doctor' ordered.  We were impressed with a frendly welcome and pleased that the staff was attentive, respectful, and friendly.  Unlike some B&Bs Sand Rock Farm served a delightful and memorable breakfast - it was unusual and very tasty both mornings. ...

If you are looking for an exquisite weekend retreat, look no further because this B & B is Paradise! We are fussy, experienced travelers and this lovely Inn met all of our needs. Nestled up a private driveway in the woods above Aptos, the multi-acre gardens are naturally spectacular. Wisteria, lilacs and camellias have been growing on the property for...

My wife and I recently stayed overnight at Sand Rock Farm, which is a charming 100+ year old bed and breakfast in rural Aptos, CA. Our stay was quiet, restful and thankfully away from phones and TV. We booked the largest of five available rooms, the Honeycomb Suite which came with a jacuzzi tub (including robes) and electric fireplace. Everything...
