The Howard Johnson never disappoints! Great location with easy walk to Disneyland. We had a room in building 2. Freeways at the back of the building but we did not hear any traffic noise whatsoever. Very spacious room and large bathroom. Still had a view of the Disneyland fireworks. The hotel does have an old feel to it, decor is...

Our family of four has just left the Howard Johnson hotel and we found it a great place to stay. The staff were super helpful and friendly and the walk to Disneyland and back was so easy. Even after a 14 hour day. Would recommend this hotel

Right across from Disneyland, only about a 5 minute walk. Water Playground was smaller than I anticipated; better for much younger children, probably up to age 7. Definitely not for older children or teenagers.

We stayed here in April 2017 for 2 nights. As we spent both our days at Disneyland and California Adventure Park (for 13 hours each day!!) we only slept and showered in our room. For a family of 5 the 2 double bed room in building 4 was perfect for us. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom was clean....

We just spent one night here with our 3 young children (all under 6). We arrived at 12.30pm and they let ua check right in. The hotel grounds are very well maintained, the room was clean and had a little balcony. The water playground was wonderful! The "pool" is only 1 foot deep so parents can relax a bit knowing...

We visited with friends for a 50th birthday - no children. We arrived at about noon but couldn't check into our room until about 4pm. We had a room in Building 2 (room 2301) which had some freeway noise but wasn't a problem after night 1 and becoming accustomed to it. The building entrance was adjacent the main pool entrance,...

We have just returned home after spending a week at the Stovalls best western. Nice sized rooms clean and comfortable. Staff were very helpful. The room had a fridge.microwave and a coffee maker. Great pool area. They do provide a hot breakfast buffet style. As it's included it is nice if not fantastic. The breakfast room is always packed so...

I agree with the others: interior hallway. I also saw a number of buildings where the access doors from the outside to the hallways were left propped open during the day.

Hi there. We packed a car seat as we were travelling for a month. We also travelled with a three year old. We did a tour with the Anaheim tour company to the science centre, hollywood and also the griffith observatory. They had a booster seat as we were in a van and it was ok. With any tour you choose, check the time in each location. For example we were in hollywood (downtown) chinese man theatre and the hollywood walk of fame for 30-40 minutes and this was definitely enough time for a three year old. I looked online in advance to see what was at each place that a three year old could do. I would also email the company of the tours you may be interested in (in advance) that way you will be well prepared. I have had to use a credit card for every booking.

We are still holidaying and currently staying at the Anaheim Marriott at the Convention Centre. This hotel is great (I have not written my review as yet). Its about a 15 minute walk to the park. Not far really as I have done it with a three year old since being here. Firstly there is a starbucks (I need coffee travelling with a young child) a pizza hut and a great pool area. The bus to disneyland is 5.00 for adults and 2.00 for a child 3 to 12. You can travel back and forth all day for this price. You can buy a 3 day bus pass if you are going to the park for three consecutive days. You can even get a microwave in your room for free. Free internet also.

I must give you a great tip for the park. We used Deb from Nanny in the Kingdom, Check out her Facebook page. We used her yesterday and she is amazing. With a three year old we are limited to rides as one person has to stay with the child. Deb packs a stroller, snacks, water, actives for the children while you are on rides, gets you all of your fast passes, can run between disneyland and disney's california adventure to get your fast passes, gets you a great spot for the parade and knows all the shortcuts especially as yesterday was a very busy day at the park. Its about 20.00 per hour and she works with small families, large families, couples and even if you are by yourself. I cannot recommend highly this lady and she is worth every penny. We paid $200 US dollars for this and she works with so many aussie families. I would book in advance though and ask her as many questions as you wish and she will answer prior. She has also worked with children with disabilities. In regards to the howard johnson when you are travelling it may be close to their winter so the kids pool area may have limited hours, (I would check on that). When the fireworks are on I thought a rocket had gone off as it is loud as the howard johnson is near where the fireworks are set up in side the park (not that you can see the fireworks area). I am not sure of the best room to see the fireworks but any hotel that you book, I would ring or email in advance to ask what the best rooms with views are. The howard johnson is a three star hotel. Similar to an IBIS in Australia. This hotel is a bit dated but clean and staff friendly. There are not high levels to this hotel. No restaurant so you would have to go out to eat.

Disneyland prams are US $15.00 a day to hire but you can do weekly hire so I would email in advance. If your 3 year old is a girl, I would recommend the princess breakfast Ariels grotto in the california park - book early and you can book when you go to the disney site and create an account for free. Again I had to use a credit card.

Sorry for the extra info but being here with a three year old now, I like to pass on tips to other aussie families.

Enjoy your holday next year.
