I’ve wanted to try one of the hotels right across from the Disneyland entrance for a while and was particularly intrigued by Camelot (I’ll admit, the medieval facade grabbed my attention). Once I saw the start/finish line location for the recent runDisney races, it really solidified my decision to stay here. The property feels old in its charm but not necessarily dated; I found this nicely complemented the mid-century vibe Disneyland has always exuded. Overall, Camelot is a cute property and the convenience can’t be beat. I was surprised by how big the room was - there was plenty of space to spread out. The room was well-cleaned and appeared to have been renovated in the past few years. The dresser under the TV, complete with a mini-fridge and microwave, was an impressive size and offered plenty of storage space. The bathroom (mainly the toilet/tub area) was a bit basic and on the smaller size though perfectly functional. I didn’t travel with a family, but I could definitely see little kids liking the castle mural on the wall in the room. The only area where the room kind of felt like it was lacking was the quality of amenities - the sheets were a bit scratchy and the mattress wasn’t very plush (bulged every time you rolled). Though these things aren’t a big deal, they’re worth considering if a good night’s rest is a priority. Truly the biggest selling factor for Camelot is its location. It took no time to walk to the parks, which was great given the chaotic nature of the weekend. I left the holiday shop at the top of Main Street at 9:21pm and was back on my floor for fireworks by 9:30. I loved being able to watch the fireworks from my room; seeing Matterhorn and the Monorail during the day also added a little bit of magic. For runDisney races, the entrance for the 10K and half marathon was right in-between Camelot and Tropicana… how can you beat that convenience? Though the runDis race weekend in general was a hot mess, staying at Camelot made the logistics of getting to the race in the morning one less thing I had to worry about. The McDonalds next door was a good option to have for a quick meal and it was surprisingly one of the nicer / cleaner McDs I’ve ever been to! Camelot is more so a place to stay than the destination itself (the lobby and common areas are pretty limited). The front desk staff was okay; the parking attendants were usually pleasant and made a point to say hello. I had a minor inconvenience during my stay - one day after a runDis race, I received a call on my cell saying a nearby room was having an issue and maintenance wanted to check out my room. Maintenance came to my room and hung in the bathroom for 20-30 mins, running the tub without saying a word to me. While it wasn’t the end of the world, it could’ve been handled with a bit more of an apology for the disruption (especially when you want to nap after a race!). Because of its large rooms and unbeatable location, I would keep Camelot in mind for future trips to Disneyland.

The Camelot was perfect for our family vacation to Disney. It’s across the street from the parks and a 7 minute walk. We had a double Queen room with a sleeper chair and it was perfect for our family of 4. We used the pool 3/5 nights that we stayed. The sauna (hot tub) is small, but we were the only people in the pool area in the evening during that time, so it was no issue. There are extra towels available at the pool as well. You can watch the Disneyland fireworks from the pool area or the 3/4/5 levels. They are loud if you’re trying to sleep but that’s the cost of being so close. I’m sure you can see the fireworks fine from 1/2 as well, just can’t vouch for it. It was great having the microwave and fridge. The staff was friendly and helpful. The pillows are short but they do give you extras. The mattress was a bit soft, if that’s an issue for you. It’s close to some restaurants (we went to McD’s, Coldstone, Bubba Gumps and the Pizza Press). We were grateful for quiet neighbours, though we could see were it could get loud if you had non respectful people coming back late from the parks. Overall, we would definitely stay again!

I had this hotel booked for a family trip this coming summer, and we had reserved five rooms. One of them was for my parents who need a handicap accessible room. I called the hotel to ask some questions about the handicap room to make sure it would work for my mom, and the person at the front desk was extremely rude and short with me. I had about three questions in total and could have been off the phone with him in two minutes total, but he kept putting me on hold after giving me two word responses. I thought we were done with the conversation but again he put me on hold so I thought he may actually be checking on some info for me finally. He came back on a few minutes later and asked if I needed help and I reminded him he put me on hold. He said, “Do you need anything else? I’m really busy.” I’m not sure why he works in the hospitality industry if he can’t answer a few questions about an ADA room. It’s not like this info is trivial. Our hotel rooms total over $9000, and I’m definitely not going to spend that at a place who doesn’t care about their guests. I emailed them to let them know about the interaction but never received a response. I guess they don’t care.

Okay so my title raves about the location (literally across the street from DisneyLand) but there was a lot more to like about this place. The rooms were very spacious and modern. Safe included. The 4th floor has a hot tub and heated pool, perfect for days end. You can also watch the Disney fire works from there. Down side is you will hear the fireworks so keep that in mind if you have light sleepers in the family. Also house keepers only came in to change towels and garbage in our 4 nights there, didn’t touch the bed once. I don’t really mind but would have been nice if someone had mentioned that earlier.

We were pleasantly surprised with our hotel. The front desk agent was able to accommodate our early check in request as our room was ready. She was very kind and our check in was quick. Our room was above our expectations, and was just as pictured on the website. It was spacious with comfortable beds & pillows. We didn’t hear noise from other rooms, except when people were right out side of our door. We were located near the pool, which was heated, the hot tub was amazing after long days at the park (though I wish it was kept a few degrees warmer). We had the best view from the hot tub of the fire works at the theme park. The fire works are loud and woke us up, but we expect to hear them being located so close, and were able to peek out our window again to watch them. The only con, was a condescending and rude front desk agent when we called down Dec 31 in the afternoon to request fresh towels, it put a sour taste in our mouths and hopefully management can have a chat with her about working in hospitality. Out of all of the staff we encountered though, she was the only rude one, the others were so very friendly and welcoming.

There is no maid service in this hotel. We were there 3 nights and they just replaced towels. The room was very noisy. You can hear everything outside, people walking, talking, kids running on the room above and trucks early in the morning. We could live with all that but the worse thing was the beds. The beds were really bad. They were extremely soft and it felt like waterbeds, both beds were the same. Staff was ok. Can't beat the proximity to Disneyland but there are many other hotels that are very close by as well. I will not stay and will not recommend this hotel. For $425 per night and no maid service, no breakfast and no good beds I am sure I can find something better.

We are sorry to hear you were dissatisfied with our housekeeping policy. At this time, our team goes in daily to remove trash and replenish towels. This is explained on our website FAQ page, and it is mentioned to each guest checking in. We tend to receive compliments on our “Dreamy Knights” Custom Comfort Mattresses. Maintenance will check the beds in your room; perhaps it is time to flip them. We’re glad you enjoyed our close proximity to Disneyland and hope you created “magical” memories with your family.

Staff was very friendly. Rooms were clean. But to be honest, i was expecting a bit more from the rooms due to all the hype of the reviews. We booked the family balcony suite. Which was good. The inconveniences was only one bathroom and one mirror to get ready with very poor lighting. Yes the bathroom has a large one but with 2 girls and while the hubby was showering couldn’t use it. Called the lobby for one and they couldn’t provide a extra one. So i would say that maybe room layout needs to be redesigned a bit. Other than that distance, cleanliness and staff were great. We would stay here again. 😊

The proximity to Disneyland was great. I was there early for check in and was told my room was ready but if I wanted to get into my room before the actual check in time, I would be charged a $55.00 early check in fee. I opted to have them check my luggage instead. They will do that for free. I was also told that I would have to remove my car from the property by 1pm on the last day to avoid being charged for an additional day of parking. I was surprised by the early check in fee as I had never heard of a hotel charging for that and there are a lot of hotels in the area as options so I was taken aback by that policy.

Hi Kellya0827! Thank you for your feedback. Early check in fees are common due to the extra work required to prepare the rooms. As stated on our website, early check in during the morning or early afternoon hours is subject to availability and starts at $55.00 plus tax. We do provide complimentary luggage storage for hotel guests. Our daily parking fee is $22.00 plus tax. Parking is valid until 1:00pm on day of check out, or guests have the option to pay the parking fee for that day and remain parked until the evening. Hope you enjoyed your stay!
