Stayed with my daughter and her family over the long weekend in Novemeber. It was an incredible experience. Disneyland had just changed over from Halloween to Christmas. There was Christmas songs, gingerbread houses, lights all over the place. It truly looked magical. I needed a...More
Only positive things to say about this stunning hotel. Every staff member was the friendliest and kindest people. They really ensure you are happy. Room was lovely, we had a woods courtyard view and we could watch the monorail go past. The room was clean,...More
I have never stayed on property prior to this trip having always stayed at our WorldMark time share down the street. This was a special mommy vacation however, and we chose it as a one time experience. My friend and I arrived very early (around...More
Stayed at Disneyland Hotel before and stayed at Grand Californian this time. Disneyland Hotel was a lot more for families and that "magic" was missing at Grand. By "magic", characters around the property, design, art, etc . . . all was not there. Service was...More

My apologies as I do not have the 100% “yes” or “no” answer to your question. Our room did have a sleeper chair, but we never used it to sleep on - it was more of a luggage and bag holder as it is quite short and uncomfortable.
In all honesty, our Grand Californian stay was not a memorable one. I’d say it was more of an 8-legged, hair-raising experience as we made use of their beds and not a roll-away. However; if this helps, in our experience although most hotels will do what they can to accommodate their guests, the larger and more well-known resorts can be a hit & miss due to the high demand from the numerous families, not to mention the sometimes outside companies using the hotel for their events.
Hope this provides some help to you and your family.

No rollaway beds. We had the same problem. We booked 3 rooms: 2 for 2 adults and 2 children, and 1 for the grandparents who wanted an extra bed in case of sleepovers. None of that was guaranteed - like you, we were told even 2 adults traveling together who wanted separate beds could not be guaranteed to get them. Luckily, they were available when we checked in. We also had to reserve a crib or pack-and-play and were told to collect it as soon as we checked in as they might run out. We got there before check-in time, they had our requests, and they were very helpful. Staff at The hotel check-in are separate from hotel reservation staff and staff at the hotel can do things staff at reservations cannot. We even tried our travel agent, but she couldn’t do anything either.
