This place is everything you want in a hotel, at a very reasonable price. The staff is friendly, the entire place is attractive and clean, and bottled water and snacks in your room are complimentary. I would not hesitate to recommend GreenTree Inn & Suites Alhambra. Next time I need a hotel in LA, I'll stay here.
I came to this hotel on Saturday, May 28th to spend time with family. When I arrived, I was told to park in a specific spot by the hotel staff. The next morning, the drivers side, rear of my car, had been hit. I complained to the hotel staff, specifically to the man that told me to park where I did. Suddenly he developed amnesia and told me he didn’t know who I was, nor remember telling me where to park my car. I asked him his name. He told me he was the manager and the owner. Later on in the day I spoke with Olivia, I asked her if I could have footage of the cameras in the parking lot so I could send it to my car insurance. She said I would have to wait until Monday because the owners were in New York and they would be the only ones who could review the videos because of privacy issues. This morning, as I was checking out, the man who said he was the manager was there. I asked him what his name was he became enraged. He started wagging his finger at me and yelling at me. Then he started coming towards me, kicking a door so I hurried out with my kids. I managed to take a picture of him coming at me. The owner called me today, she told me she couldn’t give me the video because of privacy issues. Add to all that, the TV was broken, the carpet smelled like weed, and the towels were stained. I’ll never go back to this hotel and and hope this serves as a warning to all those considering staying at this poor excuse of a hotel.…
We had a concert at the Rose Bowl, and a friend recommended this hotel for us to stay at. At 1sr we were concerned about the distance, but was pleasantly surprised how easy it was to get there from here. The hotel staff was amazing, very friendly and helpful. The rooms were large and clean. Our room on the top floor, had a small fridge and microwave. The bed was comfortable and everything look clean, even after checking closely. Our room was quiet from road and other guest even though we faced the street. Our room even had a small balcony, while no chairs to sit on, it was nice in May to open, turn off the A/C and let the fresh cool afternoon/evening air in. They did have free personal items downstairs if need at the front desk. (Razors and such) The pool was clean and cold, not heated, but that didn’t bother us. The breakfast is the normal items you’d see at any motel nowadays. Overall al great place to stay.…
It was both our first time at this particular hotel. We checked in early and the staff was very friendly and very helpful to assist our needs. We appreciated the parking tips and the free breakfast. We were only there for one night and there was one incident late in the evening, there was a noise disturbance, someone was yelling and we saw police lights from our room but we didn't get a very good view. Nothing else escalated. Overall our room was good, the beds were nice, the bathroom was clean, and we had cable TV.
Stayed for 7 days in March 2022 and it was perfect. Very clean and courteous staff. Had a continental breakfast every morning and hotel staff was always very helpful. Will stay here again in next visit to Los Angeles.
Terrible - very unfriendly staff. Impossible to reach. I tried for a few days to call to change my reservation, but there was no answer and the mailbox was full, so unable to leave a message. I would not stay here again.
We checked in late and the two men at check in were fantastic. Very nice men. They gave us a room on the first floor facing the back of the hotel. Nice and quiet. The beds were very comfortable and the towels were the softest I have ever had at a hotel. The breakfast in the morning was a hot breakfast with waffles, eggs, sausage and I think hot dogs (not sure, but they were great). They had cookies to take and go which was a plus to have. I would stay at this hotel again when I am visiting in Alhambra, CA
The reason this hotel is so cheap is because of how little they spend on upkeep. When opening the door you're greeted with flies and mosquitoes that find their way in through the cracks in the doors. Zero noise isolation and sheets are tattered and stained. Otherwise it's a pretty standard hotel, just understaffed at night.
stayed overnight for the rose bowl. Hotel was full be everything was perfect. staff cared and couldn't be more helpful. The rooms were clean and large. there are just so many extras that this hotel adds A Winner
The property is in a neighborhood in transition but the building itself has been improved considerably and is reasonably clean and esthetic. The rooms are clean and well appointed. We stayed here three nights. On two of these nights our TV service and WIFi did not work. This is not acceptable in this day and age for a hotel that is not a bare bone hotel. Even Motel 6 has working TV service and WiFi. When I travel with my wife she likes to watch TV in the evening before going to bed and I need to catch up with my work, which requires reasonably fast internet access. On the first night the TV and WiFi died completely. When I called the front desk they were apologetic but were not able to fix the problem. On the second night things worked reasonably well. On the third night the TV and WiFi went down again. I called the front desk and they promised to call me back later but they never got back to me and the TV and WiFi remained unavailable all evening. As far as I can tell, the problem is that the hotel uses a TV streaming service, rather than a traditional cable or satellite. So that in the evening their internet connection is overloaded when everybody turns on their TVs in the rooms at the same time and gets on their WiFi-connected devices. This is obviously not working. They should separate their TV service (via cable or satellite) from their WiFi connection. We will never stay here again.…
