We decided to stay here on our anniversary night as it was close to the Oakland airport and we weren't getting in until late. we actually had spent our honeymoon in this hotel 31 years ago so the dates worked out. unfortunately the hotel did not. First off i made this reservation awhile ago with a marina view and then...

The check in was horrible. People rude -manager no help. Even when you travelled and ask for early check in. Waited over an hour. Rooms were like the sixties - old dirty furniture. Old TV old rugs and linens and wall decor.just unacceptable. Would not go back.

Can't understand how management of this place can accept the conditions and call it a hotel. The setting is beautiful. The rooms are dated and in much need of repair. My bathroom shower door didn't have a handle and the door would not close anyway. The light in the bathroom was burned out. The sliding door took two hands to...

All weekend I kept wondering why the owner of this hotel holds guests in such low regard. We had first stayed here twelve or so years ago after a renovation. It was clean and staff was friendly. The Marina location is wonderful, as others reviewers agree. Through the years, we've stayed two or three times, again because of the location....

The hotel is dated and poorly maintained. We came to Alameda to attend a function at the Rock Wall Winery two miles away. The location is very nice - right on the marina with a yacht club on either side and quiet. Several guests were at the desk during our three night stay complaining of the moldy smell in their...

Great hotel! Kinda isolated behind businesses, but that's a plus. There's a dock behind the hotel so noise is average by bystanders taking a jog, bike riding, or someone checking on their boat. Customer service is 50/50. Checking in was great, checking out took awhile. All in all I recommend this hotel. If you don't mind the noise level, taking...

The Marina Village Inn is close to the company I work for and was the 'go to' hotel back in the 1990s but has fallen out of favor with my company. Normally most of the people who visit Alameda from my company go to the Hawthorne Suites, which isn't very good either, but it was full so I took a...

This hotel was a little out of the way but an affordable option for a family visiting San Francisco. The website is very misleading. It says "Deluxe 2 Bedroom Suite". When you open the description of the room, it says 2 room. When we got to our room it was a 1 bedroom with a king size bed and a...

I booked this hotel through Travelocity’s Secret Hotels, which is like Hotwire so I didn’t know what hotel I was getting until I finished booking it. I looked on Tripadvisor and was wary based on the mediocre reviews, however I was pleasantly surprised. The hotel is located in an out-of-the-way area next to the marina but it’s also close to...

Well, I've never reviewed a hotel before, but I'm sorry, but this was the worst place I have ever stayed. The staff is nice but they have no say whatsoever. If there is a problem, you have to speak with the very elusive manager. I came in on a Wednesday night. It was unusually hot for the bay area. I...
