My sister and I just spent 4 nights at this B & B. It is a gorgeous, home inside and out. We stayed in a downstairs suite with a full sized pull-out sofa. I slept on that and would recommend a mattress topper. We had some issues with the heater, but Vicki, the Innkeeper set us right up with electric...

We just stayed at the Captain Henderson House and we already wish we were back. The rooms are very large and beautiful. The sheets are the smoothest we have ever slept on. Breakfast included a yummy homemade cinnamon raisin coffecake. All kinds of snacks and beverages were available whenever we wanted them. All of the staff were friendly and helpful....

This is probably one of the most impressive B&B buildings we've seen. Both the exterior and interior are beautiful with an expansive wraparound porch, and gorgeous woodwork inside. We stayed in the Founders Room which featured curved walls, a sleigh bed and shower (no tub). However, the service was not up to par to other B&B's. When we checked in,...

The rooms are all nice. The round room is my favorite. There's a little room upstairs with a Keurig and several different k cups to choose from. They also leave some sort of midnight snack treats like brownies or cookies. In the morning, breakfast is prepared. You can let them know in advance what time you'd like to eat so...

The odds are pretty good, that if you don't have a child enrolled in Henderson State University or Ouachita Baptist University, you won't be staying overnight in Arkadelphia, AR. But if you fall into one of these categories, or are driving down I-30 to Texas, Or up I-30 to Memphis, and you find yourself near Arkadelphia and need a place...

Right across from Henderson State university. Lovely appointed rooms, great and friendly service, and delicious breakfast. Enjoy rocking on the front porch. Excellent inn for wedding reception or any special occasion. Owned and run by HSU.

For warm southern hospitality, the Captain Henderson House can't be beat. The sheets and towels are top quality and you can tell the property is owned by a state organization (Henderson State University) because the property is obviously up to building code. Plenty of hot water, plenty of accessible outlets. That's not usually my experience at a bed and breakfast....

We drove from Memphis to Austin and needed a stopover. We stayed one night at Captain Henderson and it was just lovely. We felt like we were staying in someone's home. We had the Elk room with the balcony; it was clean and spacious. The bathroom had a "real" claw bath and the towels were new and fluffy. The house...

As the other reviews have stated the house itself is stunning and could be a very desirable place to stay. However, the cleanliness of this facility leaves much to be desired. We stayed in both room #2 and #4 and they were both equally dirty. Climbing the staircase to the second floor is badly in need of cleaning. I stayed...

This home is absolutely stunning! We booked the The Elk Horn Bank Founders Room for our one night stopover in Arkadelphia. We were stunned by the interior of this house. Everything was incredibly kept and just beautiful. Our room was in this rotunda like corner of the house that made the room look huge! We were greeted by Jennifer and...

“Elk Horn Bank Founder's Room is round, very spacious and faces the front of the house. Loved it. The Elk Horn President's Room has access to the upstairs balcony so it's also a nice option. Finally I really liked the Phillips Stone Room. It has lots of windows and it just cheery. I may stay in this one next time.”
