Cons: -for the price, was expecting nicer -room in rough shape for repair, banged up -no very clean, who knows what that was behind the bed and bugs in bathroom, hair in tub -insanely noisy, 2nd most noisy room I've stay in 50 states and 44 countries Pros: -Decent, not great, location
Very affordable for being right in DC. Several metro stops within walking distance as well as the convention center. Staff is very helpful. Nice rooms. Wheel chair accessible on the side. Had to have your key to get back in when you go out. Breakfast has come back and their is a little snack area to buy snacks from. Also a microwave available in the lobby area as, at least for us, there was not a microwave in the room. No business center available. . Coffee in the lounge was only available in the evening.
I stayed 3 nights at Comfort Inn Downtown at the end of October. The room rate was reasonable and they gave me a single bed, King, corner suite, which was very clean and cozy. The front desk staff and manager were very kind as were the breakfast and housekeeping staff. I really enjoyed the hotel location (close to everything). Everything here came together to help make my first trip to DC and happy experience. Just one thing: 13th Street seemed to be a route for emergency vehicles, at all hours!!
Comfortable bed, quiet, clean, good location (15 minute walk to National mall). Breakfast included was adequate if nothing to write home about. Room was on the small side and lacked amenities I expect at the price: a bathroom fan, a desk lamp. Overall, the experience was fine.
I would definitely stay here again. Its clean and the staff are kind and helpful. For those who need it there's a laundry room with washer and dryer. There's an area near reception which includes a vending machine and microwave. Basically a home from home hotel. The breakfast buffet is really good and fills you up for the day. The location is close to many restaurants, takeaways and a supermarket. Also its only 10-15 mins walk to Constitution Avenue.
A basic hotel that was more than adequate in an expensive city. There was coffee and lemon infused water from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm in the lobby. The king room was adequate for a couple. Anything more than 2 people will be cramped. Although my room did not come with a view, I appreciated the quietness of it. It was also clean and had the necessary amenities (except a microwave is not available in-room). Breakfast was adequate and well-staffed. The staff was friendly as well. I would stay in this hotel next time I visit Washington, DC. It is located in a quiet area and walkable to nearby restaurants and the gayborhood.
My daughter stayed here for three nights whilst concluding her trip to America. When she arrived she was greeted by a lovely receptionist who allowed her to checkin early. The rooms was clean and well equipped with tea and coffee making facilities. The breakfast was excellent with a continental service including waffles. The location was brilliant and in the business district just a 20 minute walk from The White House. My daughter felt safe and secure at this hotel and would definitely stay again.
Let me start the hotel staff were really really nice Nashmere I think thats her name and the other girl that was working on Wednesday 8/10/22 night. However this hotel need major improvements. There is a two and a half block walk to your car. Its in a parking garage that has so much traffic and the cars are bumper to bumper. Its dangerous in the parking garage to many cars driving fast. Hotel parking is on the lower levels so be prepared to walk. They do not have a microwave inside the rooms they bought one for the front lobby. The room was very small and old looking. We had two Queen bed room. They did not have a handicap ramp guest. I had a stroller you have to pick your kids up and go up the stairs to get to the main lobby. Breakfast was mediocre just eggs, sausages, cereal and little fruit, small yogurt cups with bagels. However, front staff was amazing!…
Can not fault the staff at all. They are helpful when I wanted to changed rooms. They are great and friendly. The Bathroom and the room was clean. The location is great. The rooms however the rooms Are HORRIBLE! Damage and falling furniture. The mattress is spring, which in 2022 is wild. Ugly brown carpet The rooms smell musty. The lift is really needs a coat of paint. This hotel really should get refurbishment. Do not stay until they do!
What a lovely hotel. Staff at the front desk were very welcoming and the room was cozy and clean. Ok, it's not a 5 star, but for the money it was just perfect for us. 10 minutes from the White House and about 5 minutes to the nearest metro station. Perfect for our 2 night stay. (Breakfast wasn't bad either)!
