Even though my room was extraordinary and the hotel is very well located, I wouldn´t return because it is inconceivable that a hotel where you pay more than 3 hundred dollars a night charges you 12$per day for the wifi connection and on top of that it was the poorest and lousiest wifi I´ve ever had in a hotel in... My friends and I came here over the weekend. The room was very nice and the beds were extremely comfortable. The front desk was very friendly and gave us good suggestions of places to go nearby. The hotel is in a great location. It is walking distance to the White House and the Washington Monument.

I wanted to try a new hotel in DC and picked the Beacon. I have mixed feelings about this place. The location is good, the facility is quite large. This is clearly an old apartment building that has been converted to a hotel. I have stayed at several of these types of places in DC, and they usually offer large... More

Five night stay in a Deluxe King. Booked on Priceline. Check-in OK. Room key needed to activate elevator...and same room key needed to be reprogrammed three times over three days because it would only work for one day before loosing its functionality. Room was on the small size, bathroom size was adequate. Decent sized closet. Iron, ironing board, in-room safe,... More

If you are visiting Washington DC for the museums the Beacon is not within walking distance of the mall, but it is only a few blocks from a Metro station that is only three stops from the Mall - so not too bad. There really is not anything in the area of the hotel of much interest, so don't expect... More

Thank you for staying at the Beacon Hotel, we're so glad you were comfortable as a guest of ours. You are correct that the National Mall is only a couple of stops away on the Metro and if you are feeling up to it, the walk is about 30 minutes with plenty of things to see and do along the... More

Booked for 3 nights through hotels.com and paid in advance only to arrive and find wifi was not included unless booked direct. I appreciate the business reasons for driving traffic through their own site however a short trawl through TripAdvisor and others shows that the lack of wifi for guests is alienating, if not loosing custom. This aside my room... More

Thanks so much for staying at the Beacon Hotel. We're happy to hear that you were able to experience our in house restaurant, the Beacon Bar & Grill, as we debuted our new fall menu not too long ago.
