I honesty loved this hotel and would stay here again. The staff were friendly, the hotel (room included) was extremely clean, the room was bigger than expected and the bed was extremely comfortable. There was also a CVS right next to the premises which came in extremely handy for anything that you needed (I love snacking!). As for the location, it was perfect. 10-15 minute walk from the Lincoln Memorial, White House and downtown area. There's also a nearby Metro station (10 mins walk) which connects you to parts of DC that require public transport - including the metro to IAD Dulles international airport. Whether you're new to D.C or a frequent visitor, this hotel is a must if you want to start your visit off on a positive note. I love D.C and I loved this hotel - I hope to return here again in the near future!…
It was a wonderful experience while staying in this hotel. Excellent location, very hospitable staff. I stayed for 15 days, and it has become as a home. Would definitely come back for a stay. Rooms were equipped with all the necessary amenities.
I spent approximately 7 months (November 2021 through May 2022) staying in this hotel for a week or two at a time due to required business travel . The rooms and the staff were better than I could have expected. The rooms are very large, super clean with a kitchenette that was well equipped (704 was my favorite) and a sit down vanity to do hair and makeup. They also have an excellent restaurant on site, fitness room and business center! The location was perfect. Walking distance to my meeting location, many restaurants, Whole Foods and several other attractions. There is a CVS and Liquor store right next door too! Upon my first arrival I met super helpful Alex . He definitely set my expectation for the rest of the staff members and I wasn't let down! Everyone was amazing! I was warmly welcomed each time I returned for the next stay. I'd like to give a big THANK YOU to Alex, Omer, Carolyn, Gerald, John, Tim, Brad, Azeb and David (best waiter ever) for always making me feel like I was missed when I returned. After 7 months I felt like I was part of the State Plaza family! Everyone I encountered working at this hotel was absolutely amazing! If you have any questions just ask someone. They will steer you in the right direction. I can't wait to return for pleasure not work!…
The room was very extraordinary! The kitchenette was sparkling clean and the beds were so comfy. The location was only a couple blocks north of the National Mall and the DC Circulator stop. A few blocks up the street on 23rd & G was the Metro Rail Blue Line. So, the location was perfect. Security was excellent due to the government buildings and well lighted streets and walkways. The cafe served a delicious breakfast menu. Best place to stay at a great price.
They gave us a room that had DANGEROUS BLACK AND RED MOLD in the Vent blower unit rendering the AC unusable. The hot room with the Banging Clanking Noise coming from the fridge made it impossible to sleep.
The room was huge and I was so surprised that it had a full kitchen and a vanity to sit on and do your hair and makeup in a spacious room outside of the bathroom. Great location if visiting the Kennedy Center, which we were for Guys and Dolls. The website advertised air conditioning, which is not true …it was 80 degrees out so it was even hotter in the room. When we turn on the air conditioning, only hot air blew out, so we called down to the front desk because we assumed ours must need to be repaired. We were informed that they don’t put the air conditioning on in the fall. September and October have many 80° days so I thought this was insane . I wish we would have been offered fans! They told us to open the window which opens a few small inches and didn’t help at all. So disappointing since they advertised a.c which is essential to me in 80 degree weather. Front desk night staff is so sweet. Overall good place to stay but probably wouldn’t go back unless it’s winter. Hotel is located in a college campus full of students walking around at night on the weekends. Cvs next store is convenient.…
We arrived at the hotel and were excited for our stay. The room had a mini kitchen and a giant bed. We turned on the air and left for a few hours. When we returned it was still hot in the room. I called down and they said they only have heat in the hotel. How is that possible when the lobby and hallways were cool? They offered to send box fans to our room, but we decided to check out. If they had told us there would be no AC we wouldn’t have booked this hotel. While it is supposed to be “fall” it was still almost 80 degrees outside.
We stayed here for 5 nights and loved it. We had 2 beds, a separate kitchen and dressing area outside the bathroom. There was ice in the freezer, dishes, and utensils. No dishwasher. The front desk was always helpful and friendly. They called us cabs and held our luggage. The door was always opened for us and we felt very welcome. They have a garage, business center, small work out area, and a restaurant. We walked to Whole Foods and our first night just picked up a few things at CVS which is next door and open 24 hours a day. I highly recommend this hotel.
Stayed here for 7 nights and couldn’t fault the place. Staff friendly and helpful, good size rooms which were cleaned daily. Breakfast on site is great, affordable and fast. Lincoln memorial is 5-10 min walk where you can get the hop on/off bus or walk the mall. Whitehouse is 10-15 min walk and their are restaurants/cafes in the area too. Wi-Fi was perfect and TV had plenty of channels.
GREAT location- walkable to monuments, food markets, bakeries and restaurants. Also GW Foggy Bottom Campus. Wifi was mainly not working during 5 day stay. No update given, was told " it's City wide" once. Breakfast has good options and service is friendly and fast! All staff at hotel are friendly and polite. Beds are comfortable. Room and bathroom clean. TV reception is grainy and screen is small. Air conditioner worked well. If you are parking- it can be a tight fit into tiny spots in garage in building or at other garage walking distance from hotel. Other garage requires you to inform front desk you are going to go park and a staff member walks over to let you in. kinda clunky. Yet again - every one is very friendly about it. Great price for location and fact you get a kitchen with full size fridge, 4 burner electric cooktop and equipped with pans, dishes and silverware. will stay again YET- really hope the WIFI and TV is improved…
