Stayed here while visiting a client in Arlington. This is a great little place on a quiet, tree-lined street right in Foggy Bottom. The hotel is well appointed and very fresh. The rooms are very clean and modern and the hotel offers room service, restaurant, small bar, etc. They even offer a guided 6:30 AM jog every morning. I was...

The River Inn, in Foggy Bottom is set on a leafy street close to Ste Dept. and Georgetown shops. The River is close by for a morning or afternoon walk. The hotel itself is clean and well serviced. The Breakfast Buffet at $12 for the continental is good enough, and al la carte options are available. The room was well...

Situated on a mostly residential street, you’ll find this small hotel nestled among trees with a beautiful little courtyard out front. It’s easy to miss if you don’t know what you’re looking for but there’s always space out front for arriving guests to unload and bright green lights enveloping the trees if you’re arriving at night. We arrived late (in...

This is a hidden gem of a boutique restaurant but especially well located for an excellent meal before attending an event at the Kennedy Center. The restaurant is tucked away from eye view unless you enter the River Inn Hotel. There are no outdoor signs. The food was excellent as well as their service. They have daily specials--tonight's was swordfish...

This hotel is located near George Washington University in a quiet residential area and within walking distance of Georgetown and the Lincoln Memorial and the National Mall. The metro is also only a couple blocks away. We arrived around 5:00 in the afternoon and parked right in front of the hotel for valet parking. A very nice gentleman greeted us...

We came to DC for a long weekend for my high school reunion and brought our kids. We wanted to be close to the Metro and get a suite with a fridge if possible. We got a decent rate and our King Suite had a kitchen and a pull out sofa bed. Although it's not the most luxurious place I've...

Like many in DC it is an older building that has been given a facelift. We liked having the kitchenette with a coffee maker and grinder with fresh beans. Staff was happy to go above and beyond. The $40/night parking charge came as a surprise, but that may be standard for the area.

Dear ShawnandSewar. Thank you for taking the time to review your visit to The River Inn. I am so happy that you enjoyed your visit and that our employees made you feel at home. I agree that parking in DC is expensive. Our parking prices are actually on the lower end of other hotels in the area. We do a...

Staying at this property is all about what you really need. Need easy parking? Not for you. Need lots of space, with kitchen, at reasonable price? This is for you. Billing itself as a boutique hotel in what is clearly an old apartment building converted, this property would meet the needs of some travelers very well. For me, it was...

We try to stay at The River Inn whenever we're in the DC area. The friendly staff and homelike atmosphere make our stay relaxing and the proximity to the metro is always a big plus after a long day of walking. Having a kitchen area makes it easy for a quick snack or healthy breakfast. We love this place!

My partner and I stayed in the River Inn for a single night on a whistlestop tour of DC. The hotel room was very clean and exceptionally spacious - massive positives. The kitchenette was great as well. The decor was pretty 70s - lots of mustard and dark wood furniture - and we were big fans of that as it...
