The River Inn was one of the nicest hotel experiences I've ever had! From the minute we checked in to the minute we left, the staff was friendly, kind, accommodating and so helpful, and always called us by our first names! The room was more than ample with a lovely couch and a small kitchen, which comfortably accommodated my husband, my dog and me. The bed was super comply and the room didn't smell like Febreeze, thank heavens! The hotel is in a beautiful, active and safe area of DC, Foggy Bottom, within walking distance of the monuments and museums. We loved our stay at the River Inn and will definitely return!!
My boyfriend and I had an amazing time staying at The River Inn. Brandi at the front desk was an absolute delight and the entire experience was just incredible. Very accommodating to pet parents and attentive to guest! Definitely will return 10/10.
The River Inn was an excellent choice for our little getaway. We were only in town due to a work function and wanted to be close. The River Inn is located in Foggy Bottom on a cute street but with many things to do around. Our room was a suite. It was clean and very nicely decorated. The staff when we arrived were pleasant and cheerful. Jada, who checked us in was lovely. She was friendly and provided options on things to do around the area (wished we had more time to just wonder). We would absolutely stay at The River Inn!!
Me and my family are returning customers. We have remained extremely satisfied both times. The front desk, Jada and Ronald, were incredibly helpful and friendly. They were always ready and willing to offer a helping hand. Our room was clean and the environment very comfortable. The location of the hotel is extremely convenient, being only around a 10 minute walk to all major landmarks. I know I will return to this hotel if I visit DC again.
Girls night at the Inn was everything and more. I am so glad I decided on this location for a much needed girls night. From the beginning of the booking process to the end of my stay the staff went above and beyond to make sure I had a great experience. To getting questions answered from Bettina about booking, to Jada who assisted us with the check in, and to Brandie who made sure we had everything we needed during our night. I can’t thank them enough and they are much appreciated. The rooms were very spacious, safe neighborhood, and kitchen was great and worked well for the finger foods we made to eat. I will make sure to visit them again. Check them out.
We stayed in a studio for one week — it was spacious, immaculate, comfortable and had everything we needed. We loved the high quality pastries and coffee provided each morning in the lobby. Our kitchen was great for reheating takeout dinners after long days of sightseeing. Most of all, we appreciated the extraordinary hospitality of Brandie, Ronald and Jada at the front desk. They exceeded our expectations in all respects. In addition to being knowledgeable about DC sights, restaurants and public transport, they were unfailingly cheerful, helpful, and personable. Hope to see them all again next time we stay at The River Inn!
The hotel was clean and well taken care of. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The location was convenient and was less than 5 minutes from the nearest metro. There are many restaurants nearby, and our favorite was the Circa. We highly recommend eating there during your stay. The room has tons of natural light. The only thing that could have been better was that the kitchen was very understocked on the basic necessities. We plan to stay here anytime we return to DC.
Conveniently located close to George Washington University and the Foggy Bottom Metro Station. From the time we arrived until we left the friendly staff, including Jada and Brandie, made us feel welcome on our anniversary. Our son is in his first year in law school so we look forward to continuing to stay at the River Inn for years to come. Highly recommend!
When you’ve had a wonderful experience, you want to share the news! My husband and I recently spent 3 nights at The River Inn. From the moment we arrived, we were treated like old friends. Our accommodations were outstanding (spacious, great views of the city, comfortable) and the staff was there to make recommendations and suggestions for places to eat, sites to see and directions to get there. Each time we passed the front desk we stopped to chat with the friendly faces behind the counter. We especially appreciated Bettina who answered 100 questions and Brandy and Mr. Bs enthusiasm and smiles. The River Inn is located in a beautiful neighborhood that is within walking distance of The Kennedy Center, The Metro (great way to get around the city), good restaurants and even a Whole Foods grocery store (in case you want to take advantage of the kitchen in your room!). You are definitely not a “number” at this hotel, but part of the family. We look forward to our next visit!…
The bedrooms are comfortable and the crew is really friendly, in an historical neighborhood with beautiful houses. It's well located for going for a walk to the mall and Georgetown. An special mention to Jada!
