Stayed here Dec 1-4. The River Inn is our "go to" hotel when visiting Washington D.C. We used to live in the area, so we're familiar with the options but have never considered staying anywhere else. Great location (just two blocks from the Foggy Bottom Metro), easy check in, friendly staff, spacious rooms (with kitchen), delicious breakfast at the onsite...

Excellent residential neighborhood location that is a short walk from the Foggy Bottom metro and a Whole Foods. Safe and convenient. The room was clean and comfortable and quiet, and the well-organized kitchen was appreciated. Staff were friendly and helpful. Like a studio apartment with a separate (small) kitchen, full-size closet and bath. Appreciated the safe in the closet. Overall,...

I stayed at the River Inn for business. I had a suite with a kitchen and living room and a nice view. It's a quiet location away from the hustle and bustle of Penn ave... turn down the street and you're in a different world. Staff were exceedingly helpful when I needed directions, taxis etc. Fresh coffee beans and a...

I posted a reiew earlier after I watched my cab drive away. It is actually a great place to stay with one exception, and that is the internet. The location is great-you can walk to just about anywhere; the room is awesome with a small kitchen, sofa and table; the people are very nice. We have stayed here 3 times...

If you need the internet DO NOT stay here. If you need a cab DO NOT STAY HERE!! I ordered a cab and the doorman allowed someone else to take it and I was 20 minutes late for a meeting. On top of that they charge an 18% gratuity ON TOP of the room service fee. This is our third...

We spent 3 nights of our honeymoon in the River Inn. The hotel's lobby and exterior could give an impression that it's a bit run down; however, our suite was very modern, clean, and extremely spacious. Location is great, it's a walking distance to all the attractions of DC as well as to 2 subway stations. Hotel staff are incredibly...

I was visiting DC on my own so wanted a place that was safe to walk, in close proximity to the Metro and with restaurants or grocery nearby. This place fit the bill perfectly. It was 2.5 short blocks from GWU and the Foggy Bottom Metro station and there was a Whole Foods and several restaurants another .5 block from...

Picked this hotel due to being pet friendly. Very spacious room. Loved the kitchen area and coffee beans. Staff was very helpful to assist us in local eateries. Hotel is a little run down but met our needs and the price was right. Will stay here again on our next trip to Washington.

My wife and I stayed at the hotel. It is very clean and the staff are very friendly. The rooms we stayed in were on the 7th floor. It was very big with a separate kitchen. It is a great location. Two blocks from the subway and 5-10 min walk to Georgetown (shops and restaurants). It is also a 10-15...

All staff was great and we felt very much at home from check in to departure. Room was much larger than most hotels. It was quiet and no problem with temperature control. Well maintained property easy to walk from blue line metro. Location excellent. Reception desk exceptional friendly and smart. Our stay was a total pleasure. .

Thank vitreous
