We stayed for two nights while visiting for a family event. The rooms were compact but very clean and well appointed. Hotel staff was great and we really enjoyed breakfast there. We would definitely stay again.

This hotel looks very good on the website, but the reality is less impressive. This hotel has no fault but it is pretty standard. teh rooms are quite small and indistinctive. The lobby is OK, and the bar fine. The best part of the hotel is the breakfast. They do an excellent

Stayed here for 3 nights for a,conference locally. Wellcome was fine and friendly with professional staff. General ambiance of the common areas is a bit dated and showing it’s age but it’s certainly not unpleasant. Room was a sensible size, would have been nicer to have a few of

So, my wife had this APTA conference here in D.C this weekend, and we thought why not let this double as a vacation. We found what looked to be a nice hotel not too far from the conference, and within walking distance to all the sites. The WP isn’t exactly cheap, and when you

Thank you for your feedback. I’m pleased that you enjoyed our location, your guest room and the service provided by our team. However, I am very sorry to hear that the food and the service provided by our Food & Beverage colleagues was lacking which by no means reflect the level of service that we offer on a daily basis. I will make sure to address your concerns with the appropriate members of our team. We are currently undergoing a complete renovation of the restaurant which will be completed in March. I hope that you will give the hotel another chance and I certainly look forward to welcoming you back to see its transformation! Best regards, Tom Casey General Manager

Bob, As others have noted, the hotel itself can best help on this specific. But to help you with general background - in the DC area anyone with an outdoor pool will have opening and closing dates. Most buildings, swim clubs and even private homes with outdoor pools will close their pools this weekend - Labor Day weekend. Also, the DC area is hot at the moment and does't start to cool down until later in September or into October. That could be why the hotel is keeping its pool open longer than most in this region.

It depends on your child. My son is now 12, and he had more resistance to walking around this year than when he was 8. If your child likes to walk, I'd recommend walking to the Mall. You will be nearest the art museum. There are so many museums and things to see I would make a day or two of it. All three times we've been, my son has enjoyed playing with a new toy on the mall, generally a frisbee or a rubber band launched toy from a museum. The large grassy areas provide a great outlet for their energy even though some of the museums have hands on exhibits or are just great for kids, I never know what he will find fascinating - always Air & Space, often the Natural History Museum. One year it was the Star-Spangled Banner that really got to him along with a ship in a different floor. The Spy Museum was great at 8 or 9 but the second visit a few years later, he liked it less.
