My fiance (now husband!) and I stayed at the Royal Sonesta in DC for 2 nights for our wedding with our dog. We worked with Allie R. who was amazing at coordinating everything and made sure everything went smoothly. We stayed in a King Executive Studio Suite and were amazed by the large size of the room was and the gorgeous views we had of the city! The hotel room was spacious, exceptionally clean and they even included thoughtful touches for our dog such as a fluffy dog bed and 2 large bowls for food and water. In addition, all of the staff that we encountered were friendly and helpful whenever we had any questions or needed anything. The location is also superb - it is located on a very cute street with lots of bars and restaurants and in the heart of Dupont Circle. We can't wait to stay at the Royal Sonesta again!…

My girlfriends and I stayed here for my birthday. Tyeesha at the front was awesome! . She gave us a free bottle of wine for my birthday she made me feel very welcome and made my birthday very memorable I can wait to stay there again . One of my friends is planning to stay there for her birthday next hope to see Tyeesha again!

I have booked two nights in the executive suite, and it has been a really great stay thus far (it is the afternoon of day two as I write this). I initially booked through Hotels.com, and was helped by Kelly who was great at explaining all of the amenities in the hotel, and made sure I had everything I needed! When I first checked in, my door was propped with the dead bolt. When you’re traveling alone in a female body, it’s really easy to overlook that kind of safety concern. Knowing that I was probably overreacting, I walked back down to the front desk and let them know and asked if someone could walk upstairs with me. Kelly and Bruce, however, heard my concern right away, and booked me in a comparable suite on a higher floor. I really appreciated having that concern validated.I have felt completely safe during my time here as a result. Whenever I am coming back late to the hotel, there’s always security and the door requires a key for entry to the lobby. They’re very welcoming, but it’s extremely nice to have a door presence late at night when traveling alone. Bruce was on staff at the complimentary wine hour from 5-6, which is a really lovely addition to the amenities at this hotel. I enjoyed my stay so much, I wanted to stay an extra day. When I inquired into a second booking I worked with Ice, who was very kind and took the time to ensure I would be able to stay in the same room at a competitive rate. The manager, Dannyboy, happily finished my booking, as Ice grabbed a complimentary bottle of wine for me! This is honestly how hospitality should be run. It’s not about the quality of the accommodation, which is also quite nice, but the friendliness and care with which they treat their guests. This place has an exemplary staff!…

Great staff at this hotel. Bruce is one of the most pleasant, welcoming people you will ever meet! Kelly at the front desk will make you feel more than welcome. The bar / restaurant staff is good and the food was really delicious!

Bruce was very well mannered and his great work performance was the most impressive concierge I've met. He met all our needs. We will visit THEM BOTH again at our earliest convenient. It was a pleasure having him as the manager/hostess. Ice was great on serving us our needs overnight she has a great smile 😊

Tyeesha and Calvin gave a warm welcome and the room was clean, well air conditioned, and the wine Happy Hour was an awesome surprise. It is also in a great location just a couple minutes walk from DuPont Circle. 10/10 recommend.
