This is great mature, adult hotel, not flashy but classy, extremely comfortable, and affordable with warm service. The standard rooms are not large but are very welcoming, with great beds, great shower, and little extra touches like robes and umbrellas. If you are taking a train, Union Station is across the street. I booked from a third party site which I normally don’t do but the rate was too good to pass up; it’s a great option for this hotel.
We are finishing up our last night here as I type this. It has been such a lovely experience! The staff are warm and welcoming. The room, while a bit small (we booked a single bed room and the size reminded me of some hotels we’ve stayed at in Europe), was clean and had a boutique feel to it. The bathroom was roomy and the shower was really nice! It’s so close to the Capitol which is also nice. We walked a lot of places! Will definitely stay again!
We traveled during winter and enjoyed the surrounding area very much. Close to walk to the Capitol and pick up the Hop on Hop Off Bus from there. Comfortable rooms, very convenient Irish restaurant, great atmosphere, can’t ask for more! A convenient coffee and hot drinks machine on the second floor catered for our needs where jazz music accompanied our coffee/hot chocolate. We found Brenda Ford, the Front Desk Supervisor, very welcoming and helpful with local advice!
Very nice hotel and convenient walking distance from Union Station and capital hill. The reason why I given 2likes is because for more than $220 a night no coffee maker in the room or microwave as well. The last day of my stay after 4 dys I found out from the housekeeping lady that on the 2nd floor they offer complimentary coffee and microwave facility in a lounge setting.....when I arrived and checked in at front desk no informacion about that, bad!customers service. If return to Washington DC I will stay in other hotels near by
Recently visited DC with my family and we stay in one of the nicest hotels. Close to all the museums and Federal Buildings. Amazing service with the most exquisitely decorated suite The Phoenix Park Hotel is definitely our place to stay in our visits to DC! Highly recommended!
Sometimes it's difficult to remember that we're not at home. From the moment we arrived, we were treated like family, from the doorman to the front desk staff. People remembered our names and were so helpful and kind. And the guest room interior and amenities (as always) were immediately relaxing. We had several meals at the adjacent Dubliner Irish Pub which were excellent. This was our fourth or fifth stay in the past 4 years or so. And trust me, we'll be back.
I stayed here for a night with my son. This place exceeded my expectations. I booked it based on the cost and the location. I came away appreciating those things but also the friendliness of the staff and the cleanliness of our room. Free wifi was available. Second floor had automatic coffee/hot chocolate drink machines. Will definitely stay here again.
The staff was great. I checked in January 11 and checked out January 12th. The evening staff was greatnd upon check out the morning g staff was just as nice, ki d and very professional. I would stay here again. I highly recommend amend it. And I had no issues with a price match, they honored it with class and poise.
I had a great stay at the Phoenix Park hotel in DC. I was traveling on business and needed a quiet room - they had no problem accommodating me. The room was nicely appointed, the staff friendly and the location was perfect for my needs. I will be back!
Enjoyed a 30th anniversary getaway with the Phoenix Park as home base. Close to so many sights with the best Irish bar next door. Best of all was the staff. When Brenda learned it was our anniversary, there was a sweet note and surprise bottle of bubbly waiting!
