Night time statff was great, Lance and Chef in the evening. Made it relaxful after a long day. But breakfast can be improved on. but is very nice convenience for our stay. Rooms were very Clean and confortable.
Close to Air and Space Museum and the Msll for Smithsonian visit. Great ADA Room to accommodate our needs. Breakfast bar so-so depending what time you get there. Better off going to the Safeway up the street and getting snacks and breakfast pastry. Staff not particularly outstanding.
While upgrading my vacation package, we are now members of world of Hyatt. I love all of the locations availability in 1 city/state. The location are close to all of what you need. Wow I missed out for yrs. But hey I all in now. Clean rooms, nice staff and valet parking. Hassle free.
Clean, nicely decorated, quiet and safe. Breakfast was fine but nothing special. Elevators were slow and we had some trouble locating the valet a couple times, but for the price it was just fine! We had a great trip in DC.
Though Hyatt is one of my favorite hotel chain, I will not recommend this hotel to anyone. Right from Check in , where receptionist tried to assign us into queen bed instead the double queen bed, which we booked, roof leakage whole night with no assistance from hotel, lack of breakfast , lifts not functioning on 27th Dec, no housekeeping, we had one of miserable family vacation .
The hotel had an unexpected pipe burst but tried their best. Their hustle was notable. Guests were frustrated but staff remained professional. I observed staff cleaning frequently. The evening bar tender was friendly. The manager at check out was helpful and apologetic.
Find another hotel. We had quite a bit of trouble--no window shade, no blankets for sofa bed in December despite numerous calls and speaking to front desk in person. Difficult to get in and out due to slow valet service. Breakfast was an absolute joke--out of everything.
We had a paid reservation for December 28, 2022 and when we arrived, the person at the reception told us that the hotel was full because all the rooms had been sold. We had to wait for a letter to be drawn up for us to move on our own to another nearby Hyatt Place hotel, but far from the location we wanted. We asked to be accommodated for every night in this new hotel, but the manager told us that this was not possible, which meant packing and unpacking and transporting luggage on our own. The night manager was very rude and never had any interest in finding a solution, when he gave us the key to our room for the second night that would be at Hyatt Place Washington DC/National Mall, we saw that it was a different room than the one reserved, we paid 2 queen beds and they gave us a king. The first level of the building was always dirty. The breakfast was very limited and little varied. We requested a bedspread at the reception, unfortunately we were served by the same manager and he asked us many questions about our reservation, especially whether we had actually paid for the reservation.…
We chose this facility because of proximity to the Smithsonian. The staff was very courteous and helpful the facility was struggling with issues they couldn’t control because of frozen pipes that burst. They tried their best to accommodate breakfast on another floor because kitchen area was unavailable and they were working so hard despite all the complaining and the adverse conditions they faced. Kudos to the staff and management of this facility. Also the valet parking guys were great.
Disappointed by my recent visit. The check in and valet experience was long and confusing. No one is there to help you. The room heat didn’t work and neither did the warm water in the shower. We chose this hotel because of proximity to the National mall and that’s the only thing it did well. Wouldn’t recommend.
