Although the rooms are not the largest, they and the entire property are very clean. Great staff, especially the breakfast cook, Kevin. Located next to Hilton, very convenient to Connecticut Ave and Dupont Circle and an easy walk to Adams Morgan, areas with good restaurants.

A wonderful home away from home in a beautiful section of Washington, DC. I stayed here while attending a conference at the Washington Hilton and it was lovely to have a quiet retreat. Breakfast each morning was delicious! I'm looking for an excuse to go back to DC so I can stay here again!

I stayed at The American Guest House from 4-10-16 to 4-15-16. My room was beautiful, clean and comfortable. The full breakfast is amazing! Every breakfast was a new and delicious experience. Hats off to the chef. Everyone on the staff was friendly, and helpful. As a first time visitor to DC I had a lot of questions about what to...

Friendly staff and a great location. The property is great for walking and viewing the historic neighbourhoods of DuPont Circle and Georgetown. Excellent breakfasts with opportunity to meet other guests. Very comfortable beds, with all the necessary fixtures. No lifts so be prepared to carry bags up the stairs.

On a bus line that gets you close to the sights of downtown, or about a 3 mile walk downhill to the monuments, etc., (take the bus back up) American Guest House in DC was a mostly quiet place to stay. Friendly staff, good breakfast (each day was different), on a main street so some traffic noise at night. No...

Thank you so much for the review, it is greatly appreciated. I am so sorry this guest didn't realize that we have central Air Conditioning, as well as a ceiling fan. I think the issue may have been that it has been cold and rainy in DC for the last couple of weeks, therefore the AC may have been idle...

Stayed here a couple of nights. Good location, room comfortable and the house is decorated in a really interesting, old school way. Bed was super comfy and everything worked well. I didn't have breakfast. I felt a little out of place here and it was expensive but it did the job. Some staff friendlier then others and I felt like...

We celebrated our 5 yr. anniversary with a 3 night stay at the American Guest House. The location could not have been better, centered between Adams Morgan and Dupont Circle. There were tons of restaurants within walking distance and it was an easy walk to the Metro. Our 3rd floor room was small but clean with everything we needed. The...

very comfortable stay, the staff was fantastic and the room was comfortable. It is close to DuPont circle metro and to Adams Morgan, so there are plenty of dining options in the area. The breakfast is excellent and very unusual for American hotels, food prepared on the spot, fresh, tasty and changes every day.
