Alex was amazing. Got me coffee early this morning before it was ready for mass consumption. Just a suggestion to all hotels to have 24 hour coffee. It cost you nothing. Staff was overall great from putting an umbrella over your head to getting doors. The attention the pay is clearly noticed. Room service was crazy expensive. Bath lighting too...

I think the hotel is dated, they need to update the menu. We ate at the bar because the restaurant was closed for an event , the food was the same as my local pub in NY, sliders, Cesar salad, fixed calamari, etc. the menu doesn't have anything vegetarian . The club lounge where you can eat breakfast was the...

Five star accommodations within walking distance of the mall!. I came for business, and had been here before. Previous trip had some issues, but this time was without any concerns! Also had a treatment at the spa, which I would heartily recommend. Nothing to say good overall s servise

Dear PH_CAtraveler, Thank you very much for your five star review of Mandarin Oriental, Washington DC and for allowing us to host you again. I can't say enough great things about our recent stay at the Mandarin. I was there for a business conference, and at the last minute had to bring my children with me. Front office staff accommodated is seamlessly- they were nonplussed by the change in room requirement. They were also warm and friendly with the children. To further detail all...

We checked into the Mandarin Oriental for a birthday celebration/ Spa weekend, We booked the Monumental Romance package which was perfect. It included a room with both Washington and Jefferson monument views and a to-die for shower. The Spa experience was wonderful. I'd recommend arriving a couple of hours early to experience the hot tub , saauna and pool before...

No doubt this is a very good hotel in an excellent location that could not be bettered. However, the extreme price tag and lack of a few minor amenities, plus a very expensive yet average breakfast make it impossible to rate it excellent. Spa is average as well.

Dear Feyzi E, Thank you very much for staying with us at Mandarin Oriental, Washington DC. Excellent hotel. One big drawback if you are picky about sheets. They are a 5 star hotel but still use flat sheets for the bottom sheet. It drives me crazy--when you move around they come up. Very nice sheets thick cotton--that doesn't breath. impeccable cleanliness. Close to the mall. And, for those wanting a feel of New England in DC--the...

The rooms, bathroom and service were excellent. The rooms are very spacious. The swimming pool is great. One small negative is that the only place to eat within walking distance is the hotel restaurant, the Muse. The restaurant is fine, but it would be nice if there is a less formal café available.

Dear keitht14, Thank you very much for staying with us and for your five star review of Mandarin Oriental, Washington DC. Lovely looking hotel from the outside and great first impressions when entering. Greeted by the receptionist who was very nice and give a complementary tea and hot towel.
