I used to live in Washington DC and was happy to return. People always recommend Arlington next to metro line to stay, but I'm not too keen. I still find it far and deserted. I found this Courtyard by Marriott on the red line, one stop after Union Station. Gives you easy access to all of the city at a... More

Room was comfortable and included a nice array of interesting art (+). Common areas are under construction, as noted by others (-). In room coffee was the unfortunate standard single disk drip that gives mediocre results into a paper cup (-). Location is in an "up and coming" area which means it hasn't arrived yet (-). Was on the side... More

We stayed here using my Marriott Reward Points. It was the only central D.C. Marriott where I had enough points. That's how we chose it. We were happy that the Metro was right outside the door. There was something weird about the hotel's location, though, that I couldn't quite put my finger on. It's on 2nd Street, which is hard... More

This hotel is way to expensive for it's location. I stayed here while out of town for work recently and wished I had picked a place closer to the city for the same exact price. My room was nice enough, the neighbor hood wasn't great but just around the corner was a cuter, up and coming area. The hotel is... More

Thank you for taking the time to review Courtyard by Marriott US Capitol in Washington DC. If you are close to a Metro train stop, then you are close to EVERYTHING in DC. And this hotel sits right on top of the NoMa stop (red line) stop. There's a grocery store, 7-11, dunkin donuts, and several restaurants (including a fabulous Korean fast food place) within a block or two. And if, like me, you came from... More

This property is very convenient as the Red line Metro station is right outside. Also some restaurants nearby (went to the Korean one next door and that was good). It has the Courtyard by Marriott amenities that are standard (note -- you pay for breakfast) and the hotel is relatively new. All in all -- very comfortable, convenient and clean.... More

First, the hotel started renovations mid-October, so some areas are not really usuable. The pool was closed and the restaurant looked like it was located in a hallway on the second floor. we didn't use those so it wasn't a big deal, but you may want to check first by calling what the status is on the renovations. The area... More

Overall the hotel was still newer and nice BUT... this hotel is apparently in an area that is required to house low income families. I was here on quite an extended stay. Although many of these families were no bother at all, some were. Unattended children, smoking, and gathering around the entrance of the hotel were the most bothersome. Just... More
